@Catogrande I saw one gripe that "your majesty" didn't exist until 5 centuries later?

@Bones Lots of stuff like that. It's really annoying when something so easily got right is got so very wrong. The writing so far has been really piss-poor.
Also saw some comments on the
angloAngela Saxon soldiers. -
If any of the reviews are anything to go by, the reviews are more entertaining than the show itself.....
"A poor emulation of EastEnders set 950 years ago"
"Looks to have been filmed during an energy crisis"
-
@Victor-Meldrew I liked "Not many kicks in 1066".
-
I had another go at King & Conker and suffered through episode 2. It really is just shite.

Shook my head in disbelief at the "writing". E.g
"You alright William?"
Fuck me.

Alien Earth
Gets better and better. Confirms Alien Romulus was actually a bigger turd than I thought
-
5 episodes
Tight writing, taut dramaNetflix is slowly learning not to over egg shows
3.5 kidnaps out of 5 kid snaps

The ending was one of the shittest I've seen in a long time.

Dark Winds.
Good so far an episode and a half into it.
The Indian guy from Fargo is great as the Indian police chief.
Great show
Stick with it

What he said

Like most dramas it has plenty of ‘why the fuck are you doing that?’ moments but overall a very decent watch with a very believable cast

Started watching Alien Earth.
Deep space vessel returns (crashes) to Earth carrying collected Alien life forms including a version of the original Alien itself with a couple of eggs. Who brought them back? Who now owns it? Can they even be controlled?
Doesn't follow some of the historical jump scare type of sci fi horror action you expect at every turn, but rather focuses on the type of scare new alien creatures can provide with the occasional jump scare thrown in. Is the Alien that we gave seen the worst of whats out there?and who doesn't like a little octopus?
4.5 Weyland Yutani's out of 5 hybrids so far
