NRL 2025

Given we were gifted the fastest try ever at the start, the scoreline is probably flattering. Warriors have some good moments, but as always not the consistency.
Plus the defensive gift that is DWZ. Hard to think of many who've ever been so constantly hapless at positioning.
-
Jazz Tevaga did his best to get the Wahs over the line in the last 10. Gave away a forward pass that changed the momentum, fell asleep at marker for the Sam Healey try, then got binned at the end.
Possibly his best game for the Wahs.

Manly are an enigma. They patches of the prettiest football, and score a bunch of 40m tries.
And then for half an hour they will just suck.
Last night they brought us back in to it.The team is pretty average. There aren't many backs i would keep if we're serious. Some good forwards and i like the young dummy half.
Go find more young backs because ours are cooked.Penrith will flog us next week

And it'll be tougher for the Wahs next year I feel as teams are getting better, whilst the Wahs have a bit of an aging teammixed with journeymen.
They've overachieved massively this year, but next year, I'm thiking they're looking at about 12th-13th.

They should probably push forward with the youth movement. Funny how we can't find young quick wingers at the moment, we used to be a conveyor belt for them
-
Souths and Eels in to the 8 means 2 have to drop out. We're definitely most vulnerable.
-
Agree, we have the worst centres in the NRL, aging second rowers play better for us there. Wingers have great work rate but have far too many flaws. Our halves were also awful last night as well. Ironically we do have some decent talent like Sio Kali but they keep looking elsewhere. Hence we bought a busted souths winger for next year lol

Not wrong.

I think we have one big game left in us before season end. It’s our year

Right I’m calling my ranking early for this before pre season ends, needless to say a bit controversial at the bottom end. To be honest I think you could throw a blanket over the bottom seven.
Storm
Sharks
Panthers
Broncos
Sea eagles
Bulldogs
Rabbitohs
Dolphins
Raiders
Cowboys
Dragons
Roosters
Tigers
Eels
Warriors
Titans
KnightsSo I get a few right this year especially highlighting bottom of the table, where normally it’s 0%. . But missed Raiders and Warriors for sure and Wayne’s Bunnies definitely worst call at the top end.
Biggest miss not putting money on Knights getting the spoon

You're optimism is to be commeded.

Ah, gents
Conventional wisdom says of you concede 50 on a regular season game you can't win the comp.
Raiders reserves are willing to test that theory

Don't think they win it anyway, this now confirms it!

Hardly a normal game to test that stat in. Now that the Storm have some key injuries this is going to be an interesting set of finals.

of all the rounds of football ever played, that was certainly one of them.
The top 4 race was put to bed Thursday night, and the 8 was sealed by Friday night, resulting in 2 days of absolutely meaningless games.
The Storm lost more than the game to the Broncos, they lost Hughes for the year, NAS to suspension (that's probably a win he's shit) and maybe Papi? Broncos looked good!
Wahs lost at Manly, gave it a decent shake but that was a shitty game.
Roosters with another big 2nd half to smack the Rabbits.
Panthers with the soft kill on the woeful Dragon
Titans avoid the spoon! Tigers will be a disappointed
Sharks whack the Dogs
Then yesterday it all got silly. Dolphins ran rampant against the Raiders reserves, and then the Eels hammered the Knights who apparently went to Bali 3 weeks ago.Of the teams on mad monday today:
The Dolphins went ok. Best attack in the comp but were smashed in the injury department. A bit more luck in that area and they should be looking at the top 8 next year.
Manly? fuck knows. Periods of gorgeous attack, but they just fall apart in games. Middle forwards are very average. I think they will miss DCE more than they realise.
Parra gave up 36 points in the first half of round 1, and finished the year putting 60 past the Knights. Shipped off a heap of experience, lose Brown to the Knights, but Ryles is doing a good job. Moses needs to stay fit though.
Cowboys a disappointment. That's too good a roster to get 9 wins. Soft team that doesn't compete. Coach should be gone.
Tigers avoid the spoon! Clear signs of progress with some key recruits. Still a way to go though, and jury is out on Benji.
Rabbits smashed by injury, flirted with the spoon before finishing ok. Should be back fighting for the 8 next year.
Dragons were poor. Some good young forwards, team does generally stay in teh fight, but lack attacking spark. Too many old guys recruited.
Titans sacked their coach, again. Another team that can attack but is allergic to the grind. Need to sort their roster out, it's all over the shop. Shipping Fifita off would be a good start, and at least one of their fullbacks.
Oof the Knights. Sacked the coach, have two players eating a huge amount of cap next year. Tough to see them climbing far. -
and we finally get to the Finals
Friday night Storm v Dogs and this has so much riding on it. Both teams desperate to win and get the week off to try and get some troops on deck. Neither side is travelling well, and i reckon the loser goes out in straight sets. Storm have fallen in a heap and will completely rely on Harry Grant dragging them home, the Dogs blew it all up signing Galvin and shuffling their spine to try and get more points. Can't pick it.
Saturday we host the Panthers. On paper they will smack us but like @ACT-Crusader i can see us lifting in front of a loud crowd. It will need to be a big lift, we're a bit shit at the moment.
Sharks v Roosters Saturday night. Impossible to pick, both sides are good but untrustworthy. Cronulla seem to fall apart under pressure, while the Roosters drop too much ball. I think the top 4 would be happier if the Roosters go out.
Sunday is the game of the weekend. The broncos have finally come good. While he is an absolute bell end, Walsh is playing electric footy, they seem to have sorted their defense out as well. The Raiders have been the bench mark all year, have tough forwards and fast backs, and they play without fear. In Canberra i reckon they win. -

We have a chance because Riff like to grind and that doesn't bother us, its teams with explosive speed that kill us. But they have more class and are well rested and we have DWZ
Roosters easy - Sharks no Trindall and now Nicho banned surely done
Last game the toughest but leaning Raiders. Walsh has had plenty of hands on the ball since his halves went down, if Reynolds back does he have the same influence and time with ball?
