Would people take John Mitchell back as head coach
Funny as!
But you'd be right; he'd be a much better coach now than he was back then.
Lots and lots and lots of learnings.
Not learnings, journeys....
Heard him talking about legacy, England and winning the women's RWC25. Still sounded full of shit

We could have fielded a back three of Clarke - Jordie - Jordan and completely nullified their kicking game, but our coaches are too stupid
As in Will Jordan? Catch and offload to a person in a worse position will Jordan? Any skill outside of just running the ball is not Will's strength.
Yes with Jordie and Clarke at the back he'd barely have to catch a ball, just play support and run em back all night...

Has Razor lost the dressing room?
Did he ever have it?
It's a fair question.
He's lucky he has the media and public wrapped around his finger. He has a great PR team.
I always wanted to like the guy, and still want us to turn it around, be that with him or someone else, but was put off from the beginning with that cringe 3 part doco with Jim Kayes, along with the breakdancing and things I mentioned earlier.
Yep, all that cringe PR stuff on top of the fact he took on senior ABs who had come out in support of their previous coach over him. I'm not convinced he's ever had the full buy in from the players and the sooner we can move on the better now.

Cam Roigard is fast becoming our most important Allblack.
Very precarious
It seems like the game plan is based off 9 and there is a massive drop off when he’s unavailable
-
Have the All Blacks managed to put together an 80-minute performance under Razor? Or even back-to-back 65-minute performances?
They rarely managed either of the above during Foster's reign either, mind you, with the World Cup being one of the few examples.

Mitchell leading England women to a RWC victory is not exactly a great achievement. They are streets ahead of anyone else in terms of environment, funding and professionalism. It'll be an indictment if they don't win it with a significant margin.
Sounds like a statement levelled at NZ for decades

We could probably ditch them and do better!

I think Razor and Ryan need to get on the phone and apologize to Dalton Papali'i

Ryan is too much of a prick to do that. Smug little fluffybunny.

@Tim must have slow internet, he hasn’t been along to like this yet

Foster had the changing room as he put the players first and foremost at cost to himself. That's from player comments in his book. Can't see why Robertson would be any different.
That said, there was serious bad blood from his appointment to succeed Foster and how that was handled inc. Robertson's involvement. Easy to see how that might spill over into the dressing room.

@Jet I'd add Murrayfield too. Great opportunity for the Scots to pop their cherry after 120 years of trying.
Makes Marshall's prediction of an unbeaten year look really silly now. I think we will win at Eden Park and definitely against Wales, but the other games are 50/50 at best.

You know we have no money eh. LIke, none compared to almost every other major union.
I think our strength came from a centralisation of player contracts, alignment with broad playing style, smart adminstrators and an NPC that was a conveyor belt for talent.
Now? Not so much. Centralisation is starting to hurt, playing style is out of date, our administrators are embarassing and the NPC has been gutted. Result: Super is a bigger step down from Tests and we are fielding players with deep flaws (y'know, like catching the high ball)

I don't disagree with this from our "old friend" Stephen Jones. It isn't easy to see what Scott Robertson is trying to achieve.
I bet he had a great time writing that article
.
He even wrote this, so he must have been suffering some post-ejaculatory euphoria
