However, Proctor hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire and if they can get Tupaea bedded in at 13, he becomes a very useful squaddie.
Think Tupaea deserves a start but don't think he should be playing at 13, would rather Proctor or Ioane there.
Glad to see Fainga'anuku given a go ahead of Ioane and Reece.

The best thing about that backline is it looks like they’ve definitely moved on from Reece and seems like they’ve had enough of Lienert-Brown too, given they’re prepared to play Tupaea at centre ahead of him. Just need the other first five options to do enough to make Robertson (or whoever picks the backs, because apparently he doesn’t actually select the team) realise Barrett’s not up to it.

Interesting to see how he gets on positionally but one thing I like about himself and Leicester, regardless of the number on their backs, is they rarely go backwards with ball in hand.
Roigard, Leroy,DMAC and Jordan bring the scalpel.
Jordie, Quinn and Leicester bring the hammer.
Everyone from 9-15 in that lineup is a threat in one form or another.
Reece, Christie,Proctor, Rieko, ALB and Beaudy were neither hammer nor scalpel.
Jordie is a hammer with a broken handle.
Roigard is a hammer AND a scalpel

If anything reading this makes me realise what an absolute traitor Ma'a Nonu is to New Zealand Rugby. To have the gall to retire from the All Blacks on top and then play professionally FOR ANOTHER TEN YEARS for other teams !!!!!!
My mate lives in Perth and is going to the game, I know Australia is big but he informed me that it takes FORTY ONE hours to drive from there to Sydney. Fucken hell, to think I griped about having to drive the long way to the Coromandel a couple of years back after all the slips from the flooding.

Interesting backline. Thank god we finally get to see Roigard-McKenzie, that's the combination we've been waiting way too long for. I think I'm right in saying that Ireland last year is the only big game they've played together? Roigard's kicking and playmaking should take a bit of pressure off McKenzie to do everything for 80 mins, which was an issue late in games last year when combined with poor use of the bench in general.
Leicester may be a good selection, as I think he is effectively an extra hard runner in the forwards. Clarke is a better winger, much better in the air - but if our forward pack lacks runners (and it probably will) then LF may be pretty useful. With him and Carter as wings, the Aussies should attack us in the air, and run at Leicester as they do have pace - and us with Tupaea who isn't a usual 13 - so there are obvious points for them to attack.
Tupaea at centre is an interesting one. He was good enough in Super rugby to deserve a decent shot in tests, and with Jordie locked in at 12 I can see the 'best players on the field' attraction. I don't think he's really a natural centre, and after giving Proctor a decent run and seeing his defense improve, pulling him out and putting in a guy who is very likely to have similar defensive issues at first seems risky.
Not sure why they've picked Ioane, as the starting backline looks a good opportunity to go 6-2 with just Ratima and Love. -

And attack. He and Roigard both want their hands on the ball. Such a contrast to BB who looks like he doesn't want it at all.

He man handled both Suaalii and Ikitau within 60 seconds last week.
