NFL 2025

Some times you just need to burn up the clock (to keep the ball out the hands of some fucker like P Mahomes).
I'd say the Eagles actually train for this.
With this play; and all other things being equal; like the Eagles offense reverting to the mean, they'll be just about unbeatable. And all the rest of the teams will simply have to follow. It's a copy-cat league.
And the game as a spectacle will be different.
And the NFL are very cognisant of how their game presents. Not like say Rugby union for example.
The only surprising thing about this play, is that the rest of the teams are not working on it already. The Bills use it most of all the other teams; and I note they were one of the teams that voted to ban it at the meeting a few months ago.

what even is this season?
The Giants pumped the Eagles
The Jags a week ago beat the Chiefs, this week lose to the Seahawks
The Ravens stink!
The Falcons beat the Bills!
The Bears won!The fucking Patriots are back at the top of the AFC East
The Colts are the 1 seed of the AFC
The Bucs are the 1 seed of the NFC
There are a LOT of 4-2 or 3-3 teams -
@mariner4life how good.
And the first coach firing too!
And Indiana Jones is reborn.
It's ridiculous fun. Loving it.
-
Hahah
They had to fire him.
Vrabel is coming to town with the Pats this weekend.
Vrabel was the previous coach. And the Titans sacked him for fuck all reason.
He was popular with the fans; and is doing a great job at the Pats.
I think the Titans owner (female) didn’t like him.
The popular sacked coach comes back to town and deals to them.
The crowd will go off their f’ing heads if they get whacked on Sunday. -
The Unc Bowl didn't disappoint.
fun! Mate who is old school Bengals came over, complete with who dey socks.
And the Bengals get up and win! ridiculous! Chase is elite. his hands, speed, acceleration - just magnificent. And Flacco threw some sweet balls - for 10 days with the team he looks incredible.
Steelers will be gutted. Bengals D is awful but they turned over twice and that's all she wrote.
-
The Denver Broncos were dogshit today, losing 0-19 to the Giants at 3/4 time.
They have just kicked a last second field goal to win 33-32. Absolutely insane 4th quarter.
-
@mariner4life 46 points in a quarter.
I haven't seen the game, but good lord. NFL is insanity this year.
-
Eagles are back!
Not NFL, but there were a number of very good college games on the weekend. That Ole Miss v Georgia game and then the Tennessee and Arkansas games were great.
-
And Vanderbilt beat LSU.
Vandy into the top 10 for first time since 1947!
And Indiana No. 2! (coach just got 93 million extension)
Two more head coaches fired. The last two or three seasons in College Football has been Wild West.
NIL and portal are changing the entire landscape. -
Denver bitch slap the Cowboys, the season is going pretty well.
Dolphins got a win to probably save two jobs
Ravens get a win with their back-up QB
Patriots and Colts continue to have good seasons -
@mariner4life Bengals D fails once again.
Got to be ime to start looking at the coach
-
losing to this Jets team
eeeesh

no TD in 2 games.
Dropped 39 on the Bungles. Ridiculous.
I mean, Flacco comes in, looks good, puts up 38 points ... and loses?

Welcome to the Justin Fields experience. I think since his debut he leads the league in 30+ point swings in QBR between games. The good Justin Fields is a borderline top 10 QB (he's shown up twice, maybe 3 times if you're being generous). The bad Justin Fields isn't worth putting on a practice squad.
It's not just stuff like inconsistent accuracy or anything either, it's crazy stuff like one week he'll hesitate too long on easy completions and take a sack, and the next week he'll calmly work through his progressions like a 10 year starter.
Jets go into a bye and then get the Browns. I suspect that this is just a blip (Nick Mangold dieing just before the match maybe a factor?) and they'll find a new frustrating way to lose, but this is a good chance to turn in around. If Glenn can have a solid run down the stretch it will be very promising for next season (although that will also put the Dan Campbell comparisons into overdrive which is just stupid)

Wild trade deadline, colts send 2 first plus Adonai Mitchell to the jets for Sauce, and cowboys send a first and a second plus mazi smith to the Jets for Quinnen Williams.
Both of those guys are blue chip players. I don't see either of them being worth anywhere near that (comparison: disgruntled Micah Parsons got 2 first and Kenny Clark).
Jets not having a fire sale as they apparently turned down reasonable offers for other players. I think this was just two offers that were too good to say no to.
Colts in particular I'm very interested to monitor - Jones is having a mini revival but I don't think it's sustainable and even if it is they'll need to pay him (one year deal). And now they have no first this year or next.
Cowboys are a joke of a franchise at this point. Jerry Jones saw Woody Johnson doing his best to trash the Jets and said hold my beer.

Yes, yes, but everyone knows who the owner is.
I don't see them Cowboys getting back to the top until JJ sells the team. He doesn't seem to run it like a professional organisation, it's his personal play thing
