Financially it was a fantastic decision - hardly won a game in 2025 but he's had a Europa League bonus, a Spurs payout and now a Forest payout. Now he should take the Rangers job to get a payout for his Christmas shopping.

Financially sound for him. He will get a job somewhere else, as you say he is still remembered fondly in Scotland. Meanwhile we will see if Nottingham Forest can survive the relegation battle

Lol after already managing Celtic? It's almost an illegal act in itself if that happened. Looks like it will be an Aussie taking the Rangers gig funnily enough.

Stupid for Ange to take the gig in the first place , and now he probably won't get a gig in a top 5 league again.

Well we went top for a few minutes and our away fans started singing stop the season we won the premier league. lol
Can understand late penalty but not often given so far away from ball, just hope refs continue to be consistent in that application.
Still take any points from going to Palace and we often bring a lot of energy to any game, so a good watch

Ange may get the Celtic job given their current troubles (lost to Dundee today) and they did go back to Rodgers

Yeah woudn't surprise me, and Rodgers wouldn't be a bad option at Forest either.

The Glasgow teams are a mess right now.

That was the game of the weekend, both sides played some great stuff - Mateta could have had 6. Felt like a game that could have been 0-0 if both sides tried to play on the break so maybe the early goal released the shackles and they just went for it. Watched these highlights (so much they had to cram in) and then watched the highlights of Burnley v Leeds and the contrast was stark - those teams both looked like relegation candidates and they struggled to fill a highlights package.

Watched a fair amount of Liverpool v United this morning (missed the goal) and although Liverpool had enough chances to win it, they were very structureless - just throwing on lots of forwards and lumping it towards them - and with a decent midfield, United could have picked them off on the break. Liverpool's start feels a bit like City's last season. Decent start with some dodgy performances and then the wheels fall off.

So la liga have abandoned their plan to take o game to Miami (for now). One interesting thing was the players themselves protesting - after the initial kickoff, they all (every team across the league) stood still for the first 15 seconds. (The league tried to deal with it by showing a view outside the stadium and having commentators read a message).

I've never seen players universally annoyed enough to take action on the pitch. The only thing I can compare it to is the missing man formation in NFL but thats a way of acknowledging/honouring a death and doesn't actually have any impact on the game.

Serie A still going ahead with their ridiculous Perth game in February though. It think it will happen eventually but maybe once the money is there, every team will take a home game somewhere during the season so that it is more fair.

It's gonna keep happening too, as Como pointed out, when the Serie A generates 10% of the TV revenue that the EPL generates, then its sadly a no brainer.

So yes, AC Milan have built a good relationship with Perth and we'll more than likely see them come here more often in the future.

    That was Jurgen Klopp's team.

Slot has spent hundreds of millions over the summer putting together his own team and they lost their last four Premier League games................

and up to second. I agree with Iraola, it doesnt mean anything at this time of year, except you have points. We have had a good run of games and were able to get points. Next two games are away at difficult opponents so lets see how that plays out. Over the moon with our start though. Loving that El Kroupi can find the net that is a bonus

The EPL have done their best to derali our progress with their little FFP rules to suit who they want to suit, but it's been a good turnaround from us after the turmoil from earlier in the season. Monchi departing seems to have had a positive influence as his recruitment strategy sent chaos right through the dressing room..

Conversely last season Villa were spending almost 100% of their revenue on wages and while the details of those rules might need to be tuned, it is fundamentally a good thing for football and for clubs that there is a curb on wild spending. The problem is that it has led to bizarre ways to get around FFP - awarding huge long contracts to amortise expensive purchases and selling top young home grown talent as it is all FFP profit.

Villa stlll have a pretty good first team and a very sharp coach.
