I've just started Dark Hearts (BBC player in UK). It's a French Special Forces story set in Iraq. Only seen one episode so far but even with the subtitles it seems worthwhile persevering with.
3 what the fuck are they saying out of 4 tense action scenes.
What the fck is this scorcery, a scoring system out of 4???
Make it make sense.
4 pints is the magic number.

It’s on BBC4

Up until then, there had only been 4 action scenes.
Caveat: I may have made that up to mask my idiocy.

The Responder S02
- not a fun watch
- but rather good
- some good acting
- dubious logic in decision making by characters at times, but usually easily explained away by circumstances
- a show that I typically avoided when wanting an easy escape from reality (99% of time) - but when I managed to commit to something more than popcorn-TV... Worth it

The Paper
The US Office was pretty rubbish compared to the UK version. What is it about Americans not being able to do subtlety like the Brit’s ?
( I still think the best US Comedies compare favourably with the best British Comedies but not this style of comedy if that makes sense )
This is a spinoff of the US office and is fucken unfunny and complete crap compared to that.
I lasted about 15 minutes. Utter shit. Avoid at all costs.

Makes you realise how good Ricky Gervais and all of the others were at what they did.

Sugar: Colin Farrell starring private detective show with a twist that came out about a year ago on Apple TV. Done in neo noir style, Chinatown style brightness though rather than the low lighting of traditional noir. I was pleasantly surprised by this after not really being too interested in it. Short episodes help, mostly around 35 minutes.

Final episode of Slow Horses season 5 was much better. Very good.
Yeah, was a bit worried it had gone a bit samey in eps 4 & 5. Ep 6 was top notch.
Been recommended Down Cemetery Road. Anyone seen it?

Its literally only just released and only a couple of episodes dropped. Same author as slow horses as well as producers who fell in love with his work, so on my radar, will just wait for more to drop.

House of Guinness
Seems there are some true parts to this, but is largely a work of fiction.
Dislike series that end as this one did (especially as it seems that was totally fictional) but there you go.
Not a must watch by any stretch, but good enough to keep me interested.

For my lighter comedy watches, just started S3 of Raising Hope, good silly fun series.
also started S5 of Cheers, still reckon this would be pretty safe in todays woke society, quality!

Is Raising Hope available for streaming? I just assumed it would be one of those lost shows. I think I watched it's entire run back in the old acquiring shows days which means I likely have it 480p on a HD somewhere.

@Nepia I believe it is available on Disney.
Oh shit, I should rewatch it before my Disney runs out.
I wish it was easier to find stuff on Disney, if it wasn't for Amazon they'd win the hardest to find anything to watch award.
