    Find the Super Rugby affiliation a bit odd. No connection between Super and sevens.

    On a bit of a side note I had wondered where Chicago Doyle had gone hes was down here in Welly for a few seasons but couldn’t crack the NPC team.(saying that they never seem to pick club players just aging old players past their prime)

    @mikey07 Come on, it's been a good few years since James So'oalio and Fa'atonu Fili have played for them.

    @Higgins I won’t have a bad word said against James he wasn’t quite NPC quality played against him last year in Pressies grade nice enough bloke. Was more referring to the likes of Savea and JGB

    I mentioned a few months back that he was playing for the BOP Dev team. Getting closer to home...

    Both the AB7s and BF7s will be playing at the Ignite7s this weekend. Hopefully we see a team list to see if there are any new players. The AB7s will play Fiji and Aust, while the BF7s will play Aust, Japan and Fijiana.

    @Bovidae who's the guy missing that looked bloody good in limited time last year? PI, didn't play super. Big and surprisingly quick.

    Great to see Scott Gregory is back! Will add some much needed pace.

    @SouthernMann is he still quick?

    Be interesting to see how Rush goes, had by far his best season of 15s this year.

    Keen to see Manson get a run though, with a bit more room, he should be fun to watch.

    Nah. Gregory is an absolute tractor.

    Manson's test will be defensively.

    Amanaki Nicole? Or a replacement player?

    Roderick Solo seems to always be injured. Forbes and Tocker are reasonably quick for loose forwards.

    @SouthernMann sarcasm doesnt travel well in the interweb!!

    His pace is ok, but expect he will be used as a forward, Northland used him in the lineout a few times, so he will be sweet haha

    Joey Taumateine? I was wondering myself whether he's been injured because I would've expected him to be there.

    Yes, he has had a long-term injury. Still listed in the updated squad. They name the new contracted players after this tournament.
