Opted for Lord over Holland but both locks were good.

I know we're down about mins 40-70 but I'm struggling to cut it down to 3.

    Went LF, CC and Lakai.

Really wanted to pick Lord, Tamaiti, and Dmac. And Fabian mentioned in dispatches.

    Seven missed tackles Fainga'anuku?

Did some very good things with ball in hand but a huge liability on defence.

That seems high as I only remember 3.

It was either him or Lakai and the lynchpin was that turnover win when we needed it.

Those mentioning Fainga'anuku stayed up all night drinking? He's the backs version of Savea who did sweet fuck all again yet both of them are getting fluffed by the commentary team - especially day drinker Marshall.

Clarke played better in 40mins that most of his teammates in an entire game. His defence cleaning up other people's errors and misses, providing us with opportunities was superb.

Holland looks all the world a Test lock. Another foundation performance.

    Lakai carried the loose forwards.

    Bench did very well.

LF has nearly got as many votes as missed tackles.

Both locks and DMac for me.

CC had a great game, it was unfortunate that he got crocked

Find those criticising LF but viting for DMac a little hypocritical.

DMac: huge miss on Graham, and chase from offside position, offset by three good (ok brilliant) moments on attack.

LF: some errors on D vs multiple attacking positives.

In both cases there was bad, but the good outweighed the bad.

    Yeah concerning.

Lakai and DMac the obvious 2, 3rd one can go to Lord with his nice break to get things going.

Yeah that's a fair assessment, but it does also need to be looked at.

I'm generally baffled that multiple posters have chosen LF. Did they all watch an alternate universe version of the game?

DMac is the easy one. The locks, Clarke and Lakai to fight it out for the remaining two spots.

Or perhaps like in the first half like Tony Johnson can’t tell the difference between LF and WS.

First half LF missed opportunities in attack and defence. Not a contender for me.

Its because you catch the eye more when you look good on attack as opposed to defence. Most of us know how good Rieko is on defence but obviously looks a bit confused on attack, almost not knowing what his role on attack actually was, where as Leicester can carry very well and has a better overall skillset than Rieko with ball in hand, but his lack of pace out wide and his inability to read the game on defence at this point is a cause for concern, where as Rieko is an elite defender who reads things brilliantly and has pace to turn and chase in the centre role.

As I said on the game thread, yeah, start Leicester at 13 again next week and give him a run there, but I hope it does get addressed and not just ignored like our deficiancies with the high ball.
