I'm predicting we lose to Scotland and Fergus Burke kicks a late penalty with 5 minutes to go in the match.

However I think we will win the other 3 games and flog Wales by 50+ points to round out the year.

It's a shame Sean Maitland retired, he could have got a hat trick otherwise.

New Zealands treatment of John Hart was absolutely shameful.

Wouldn't have happened to a non Aucklander

    I’ve heard it all now…..

@mariner4life Stinks of us wiping the floor with Ireland and then serving up a honker at Murrayfield.

Interesting reading this thread back, and looking at the predictions.

One game to go which is not being played on paper and still has to be won.

But majority picking one loss (I picked the GS BTW), so if it stays that way it just confirms where we thought we are at.

I think it's the nature of the loss and the absolute grind of these last three weekends. Hard watching for large parts and not enjoyable.

Plus.....it's only Scotland. Granted, they're no Wales, but they're still a bit shite.

Nah they're a tricky side for the ABs recently. Who knows what they're hiding under their kilts .

Interested in thoughts on here if you regarded this as a proper Grand Slam?

All talk out of AB's is they targeted this tour as a goal of winning the Grand Slam, and media did the same. I listen to Scotty & Izzy every morning and most of listeners felt same way.

I don't, I believe to win a Grand Slam you play the nation at home. AB's beat Ireland at Soldiers Field which is no where as intimidating as Aviva Stadium/Lansdown Road would have been. It's why in all comps home ground advantage is better, why you play quarters, semis in NPC to get a home game.

Just interested in others on this, or is winning all four nations a genuine slam?

This was never a true Grand Slam in my eyes. If you don't have to play the Home Nations at their home ground then the 1995 RWC was also a Grand Slam.

@Paj now here is a blast from the past. Good to see you.

I was happy to call it a "Grand Slam" attempt. All four Home nations on tour.

agree. I have always laughed at the 6N Grand Slam when you will play half the games at home.

Did the term not originate from that then?
