This weekends sevens isn't on TV or being livestreamed. Someone asked on NZSevens Facebook.

@Bovidae who's the guy missing that looked bloody good in limited time last year? PI, didn't play super. Big and surprisingly quick.

Is it possibly Sofia Maka? Played wing for Harbour in NPC

He actually is there - Sofia Notoa Tipo

The BF7s were well beaten in both games against Aust. Missing some key players like Miller, Pouri-Lane and Hirini. The latter won't be playing this year (pregnant).

    AB7s results were more encouraging.

US leg apparently not confirmed as LA. Hope common sense prevails and they leave it in LA, at least until the Olympics in 2028.

Still too many old timers in the AB7s, and no Manson.

@Bovidae surely Manson was guaranteed travelling benchman?

I assume Morgan has been selected as a forward.

The AB7s have a tough pool with Aust, Spain and GB. The reduction in the number of teams to 8 means there are no easy pool games.

I expect Braxton Sorensen McGee will be fun to watch in 7s with her Cullenesque balance and killer step

Can someone let me know what the hell happened to Roderick Solo? One of the most electrifying young sevens players 3 or so years ago, he hasn't been cited since his injury back then. Anyone know where he ended up?

@Canes4life See my previous post. A knee injury, which must be more serious than expected.

Must be very bad if it's resulted in him missing more than 2 years of rugby.
