US leg apparently not confirmed as LA. Hope common sense prevails and they leave it in LA, at least until the Olympics in 2028.

Still too many old timers in the AB7s, and no Manson.

@Bovidae surely Manson was guaranteed travelling benchman?

I assume Morgan has been selected as a forward.

The AB7s have a tough pool with Aust, Spain and GB. The reduction in the number of teams to 8 means there are no easy pool games.

I expect Braxton Sorensen McGee will be fun to watch in 7s with her Cullenesque balance and killer step

Can someone let me know what the hell happened to Roderick Solo? One of the most electrifying young sevens players 3 or so years ago, he hasn't been cited since his injury back then. Anyone know where he ended up?

@Canes4life See my previous post. A knee injury, which must be more serious than expected.

Must be very bad if it's resulted in him missing more than 2 years of rugby.

After watching a bit of sevens 7s over the last few weeks i cant help feel some of our midfielders and outside backs would benefit playing a bit of 7s and i’m not really talking about the fitness but just learning how to utilise the space around them but the little nuances in and around drawing pass and commiting to kick off recieves and kick offs
I saw some great examples of knowing when to carry and getting to your feet quickly once tackled , not giving the jackler time on the ball and buying time for support ,but also holding the defence long enough to hit a player off a short ball or throwing a ball outside a drifting defender

Argentina are classic example of a team that look to doninate the air ,carry and clean so effectively that they have the ability to hold on to the ball for long periods eventually wearing defences down
But really impresses me is the accuracy of their passing
I know people will say these are two completely different games but for me if we were to play a high tempo game we need to be hit more accurate in and around many of these facets

@Steven-Harris HOBM's march from senior 1 battlers to premier champs was built off the back of our successful 7s programme. The biggest things it instilled aren't listed above - communication, trust and dedication (not just in the typical sense but in things like over the top repetition of skills, moves, etc).

An unconvincing win for the BF7s first up. The ref and TMO seemed to take pity on the French for that last try. The French women firstly played the ball while on the ground, and then it looked like a knock on from a low pass.
