NZ men start with a 21-14 win over GB despite a yellow card ..some odd calls from the South Afican official

Apart from being strong at the breakdown I don't think the AB7s team looks any better than last season. Still lacking some speed out wide if Cama starts the same players.

Looks like it isn’t just Australian rugby players who are out of their depth internationally. Black ferns robbed.

Worrying signs for BF 7s. They look pretty average.

About the most moronic decision you'll see to take a scrum in your own 22 with 20 seconds left. Fucking hell

    Exactly this. So dumb

    Match winning tackle by Lasaqa.

You could take the tap and run around for twenty seconds almost without being touched, or even less risk to kick for touch and time is up by the time you're throwing in. What a ridiculous decision.

Both NZ teams make the SFs, which would have been the first goal. The AB7s were a little lucky against Aust. I didn't see the Spain game. France looked good, and Arg the big disappointment.

Aust will take some beating in the women's. They always do well in Dubai.

Expecting a down year for the BF7s.
Not quite in transition but with no Comm Games now, 2028 is a while away and feels like a mini-rebuild - with Brake and Hirini away

@Bovidae They were quite clinical in that Spain game, though Spain look a bit of a shadow of last year. Next up Fiji…

    One observation.

It's the fittest I've seen Rob Rush in a long time. Playing very well too.

@KiwiMurph 💯..could see the difference in his breakdown work in the NPC compared to last year much more accurate
Last night his breakdown work was aggressive and on point
Spoke to his dad Eric over a year ago , at the time I thought it was a poor call as he had turned down a contract with the chiefs
Eric felt if Rob could improve his overall aerobic fitness and breakdown work it would make him a better XVs player
    I guess Father knows best
I actually think he has the ability to play 7

    @Steven-Harris

    That would great.

Had look at the SR rosters.
Only one No. 7 (Lasaqa) from this years NPC comp made a SR list (didn't look at the WTGs).
SR teams obviously looking for more size, and making No. 7s out of No 6s and 8s..
The likes of Mathis should look at training with the backs.

Dirty hit by the Fijian on the young kiwi lad Keelan but great try assist by the young fulla to win the game.

Very impressive performance by the Black Ferns in the final.

Aus had more speed but the Black Ferns defence so committed whilst very patient in attack.

All Black 7s do the double. Didnt make one final last year and win their first tournament this season. Well done. Ng Shiu looks like a good choice as captain.

Keelan has some gas. A real weapon late in games. Looks like he has some Kurt Baker energy too haha.

Good to see Rob Rush on his feet and celebrating with the team.
