Expecting a down year for the BF7s.
Not quite in transition but with no Comm Games now, 2028 is a while away and feels like a mini-rebuild - with Brake and Hirini away -

Definitely - good scouting year for 2028

@KiwiMurph
..could see the difference in his breakdown work in the NPC compared to last year much more accurate
Last night his breakdown work was aggressive and on point
Spoke to his dad Eric over a year ago , at the time I thought it was a poor call as he had turned down a contract with the chiefs
Eric felt if Rob could improve his overall aerobic fitness and breakdown work it would make him a better XVs player
I guess Father knows best
I actually think he has the ability to play 7 -
That would great.
Had look at the SR rosters.
Only one No. 7 (Lasaqa) from this years NPC comp made a SR list (didn't look at the WTGs).
SR teams obviously looking for more size, and making No. 7s out of No 6s and 8s..
The likes of Mathis should look at training with the backs. -
All Black 7s do the double. Didnt make one final last year and win their first tournament this season. Well done. Ng Shiu looks like a good choice as captain.
Keelan has some gas. A real weapon late in games. Looks like he has some Kurt Baker energy too haha.
Good to see Rob Rush on his feet and celebrating with the team.
-
@KiwiMurph that Brady Rush tackle late in the first half a real key moment
-
@Steven-Harris one of the best tournaments ive seen him play.
-
@KiwiMurph this years npc was by far the best he has played, hopefully turned a corner in his career.
-
@taniwharugby @KiwiMurph
on both your coms
Brady was a revelation for the Taniwha in the NPC this year like Rob he’s lifted his fitness to another level
Awesome to see both teams get across the line the BFs missing a few from last year I thought would struggle against a very good Australian side but getting out of the blocks quick and defending their backsides off
Great way to start a Monday morning -
Black out in Dubai.
-
Well done Japan women. A very fit team.

Aus had more speed
We have to adjust to not having Michaela OR Portia.
