Hmm, Roach has the third most test runs without a test 50. Pretty close to get his first one now.

Actually, he's second most - Lyon well out in front on about 1600, Roach 1300 odd and Major Younis third with just over 1000.

    We've somehow got a 4th review here and I don't understand how.

Yep, if you've already burnt three reviews from shit judgement, I don't have a lot of sympathy after that.

Dropped on 47! That was tricky but absolutely catchable.

Fuck sakes. Professional cricketers don’t know how to call for the catch, and it goes down.
That was the mistake from WI we needed to get an opening. Can’t see them giving another soft chance like that again.

We need to try something else, see if a part timer can nab a wicket.

    Conway?
    Williamson?

Something. Please. Coz these batters are under zero pressure.

Latham is a shit captain for these types of situations. Just lets games drift.

Baz was the last captain who would try stuff. Latham, Southee and Kane were all the same, very organised, very orthodox and unwilling to get too creative, happy to stick with a plans for too long.

Martin Crowe wrote a piece about a decade ago that talked about the judgement of when to give up an a plan being a key trait for great captains.

@Cyclops this short bowling at the body plan has become so tiresome.

We are about to go through an entire wicketless session of it.

    Have we got nothing else?

Bloody hell - I went away at lunch thinking this was a formality and didn't require my supervision. Came back just in time to watch the replay of Phillips and Tickner fucking things up!

Not with Paint By Numbers Latham in the mix.

Roach has picked a hell of a time to learn how to bat and get his first 50.

Questionable captaincy and injured bowlers aside this is a hell of an effort from these two.

FFS can the coach send someone out there to give Tommie another plan? If we lose this it will be beyond embarassing

You know it might have been a good idea to have your limited overs captain in the XI to help with strategy.....

Ah. My apologies. Another injury. Has the Wallabies strength and conditioning programme been taken on by the black caps or something?

Just saw that, one would think they were playing beach cricket and itching for a bat.

I love Wagner's commentary. Always advocating for more aggressive bowling, more aggressive fields. Can he be captain?
