looks like usyk has chosen to fight Wilder , interesting choice given that Wilder has looked cooked for some time ,

im not knocking usyk because i think hes probably done enough to justify his greatness, but it does look like hes cashing in now choosing Wilder over Wardley

I saw this and wondered if it was some sort of satire.

Wilder is cooked. The Fury trilogy and the losses to Parker and Zhang well and truly proved this.

He’s a punchers chance sure but Usyk will absolutely school him.

It is still a big opportunity for Wilder, not sure why he deserves it to be honest, now, but good for him.

That was fucking stupid. Joshua isn't even warmed up let alone tired.

I reckon they had an agreement not to box with any serious intent the first x rounds. Glad I didn't pay to watch that glorified bout of knee-hugging.

Sounds like sanity prevailed and the actual boxer boxed and won.

If there were no fixes involved ( and that’s a massive IF ) then it’s incredible it went as long as it did.

    It was free on Netflix?

JP spent 5 rounds running, diving at AJs legs and basically avoiding a fight. Joshua was pretty patient and not overly aggressive. He didn't even try real hard but the class difference was ridiculous.

Also AJ has a fucking sexy rig holy shit. Shredded and huge.

Proper sanctioned bout though right? Rigging chances pretty slim considering consequences if anything came out. JP to retire now surely.

It went six rounds. That raises massive question marks.

The only winner here is Paul

He went in against a former Heavyweight Champion of the World and looked better than most of AJ’s opponents

AJ should be ashamed of himself

He should have blasted Paul like he did Ngannou

This legendary tale puts it into perspective

Colin Jones giving up over 100lbs and over 8 inches in height sparked out Richard Moriarty in a fight outside a club in Swansea when both were in their prime

I see Colin training with the upcoming Welsh & GB boxers doing roadwork around Cardiff and at 66 you still wouldn’t fuck with him

No doubt..its just they're both really rich dudes, with the ability to earn plenty more, I just can't see them putting all of that on the line and risk federal prison just for 1 fight. More likely JP is just a little more skilled with a lot bigger balls than most folk expected. Looks like a broken jaw too from a video doing the rounds. Hate to say it but I have some respect for the guy now.

There was an early round moment when Joshua reached out to graze Paul's cheek then looked horrified when it looked like Paul was accidentally going to turn his face into the punch. Phew! He just missed him. Those early rounds he was just patting Paul down to see if he had any twinkies on him. Sure it was an honest fight, and not a rigged one at all. And I'm a hot Polish chick with a sophisticated yet subtle sense of humour.

The biggest problem was this fight was allowed to happen in the first place.
A sanctioned fight between a social media personality and a heavy weight champion of the world?
It was a non contest from the get go

The most disgusting thing is i heard this was AJs highest earning fight

Sounds like a combination of ring rust for AJ, Paul being better than expected and doing some serious spoiling and maybe, just maybe an agreement that AJ needs to take it slightly easier in the first few rounds. All that being said and as @MiketheSnow alludes to surely if he came out with the Ngannou mindset he would have dealt to him well inside the first round. Pro fighting is littered with accusations of dives and payoffs from Muhammad Ali vs Sonny Listion to Butch Coolidge vs Floyd Wilson.

Hats off to Jake Paul, he has hustled the right folk to actually pay him a ridiculous amount. Pro boxing ( well, ANY boxing ) is no joke though, a broken jaw takes awhile to heal.

Ngannou didn't run though he was big target who stood in front of AJ...suicide.
Jake ran around the oversized ring...in fairness to him he did avoid some big shots from AJ and even landed some of his own but they didn't have any effect on a big HW.
Weight classes are there for a reason.
Both guys made coin and gives AJ and Fury something to argue over to promote their fight.

I love boxing and didnt bother watching it , have little interest in the gimmick fights ,

At least he came out of it with some genuine injuries , Boxing isnt supposed to be a game

AJ and Fury look like finally fighting, years too late of course , years ago i would have picked Fury

But I actually think AJ might stop him now , both have deteriorated ,but the last thing to leave is your power and i suspect Furys deterioration of his once elite defensive skills may come back to bite him here .

@kiwiinmelb I think Fury will try to fight AJ like he did Deontay 2 & 3 but AJ is a better boxer than Wilder. Stopping Fury will be a big call as he has great recovery and will but age does mess with that ..
I think they will fight at least 2 times and could split the wins and take it to a trilogy.... best earner for all

The Wilder trilogy and the two Usyk losses took heaps out of Fury.

    That plus father time.

I reckon he's gone for good this time.
