I'd get rid of Ryan as well, we had the Blues loose forwards, which were totally dominating, and not a single one makes the AB's, something suspicious was happening there. Unless that was Razors call.
Totally dominating the one year the crusaders lost Robinson and got bitched the few years before as well? Forgive me if I’m not incredibly excited at the thought of that

Dancing for joy if I'm honest.
So glad the fraud got his comeuppance.
Why are you dancing for joy? This is going to destroy NZ rugby for the foreseeable future. There is no obvious choice and it’s ignoring the rot that’s been there for 8-9 years. Unless most of the players group goes with him, this is for naught
The razor coaching group was already destroying nz rugby for the foreseeable future. Change had to be made.

Seems all news media in on the secret, bar Stuff.
Think they need to get thier reporters TSF logins.

Yes and Ardie and B Barrett were destroying it before that. Nothing changes unless they go

I feel genuinely sorry for all the Robertson-fluffers who jumped on the bandwagon. They must feel like utter dickheads right now. Guess the knives will be out if they feel they've been conned by Surf Jesus.
Just hope we haven't entered into another "sack-the-coach" doom-loop and Kirk and co. make sure the sort of shit we've seem in the last 4-6 years isn't repeated.
-
Here’s an interesting question.
Were performances on the field below par because Razor didn’t have the dressing room OR did Razor lose the dressing room because results were sub par.
You wonder whether some players felt ostracised from the get-go as the Crusaders coaching staff rolled in? Perhaps Razor was always doomed to fail with that coaching group, and I don’t think that reflects on the man himself but on NZR for once again not doing due-diligence on the assistants.

Fish rots from the head.
If you think the rot wasn’t there way before Robinson, you’re taking the piss

This was a clownshow that has been exposed and rightly moved on
Razor burnt a lot of goodwill with his baffling selections, but I was utterly done with it once we found out he wasn't actually the head coach - just a grossly overpaid motivator.
And in that limited capacity he's been proven to be an abject failure. Kudos to Kirk for taking the hard, necessary decision.

Seriously?
I’m no cantab fan, quite the opposite but his pedigree at the Crusaders showed he deserved it.
Having said that, if he couldn’t gel together a team from other provinces to play for him then it’s an issue which needs resolving.
You don’t give up when playing the Boks if you want to win for your coach.

Well they came within a whisker of winning the world cup so it wasnt all bad before Razor but yes I take your general point

i'll admit i was pretty blood keen on giving him a shot and would have brought him in for fozzie earlier, no shame in accepting i was wrong, still think there were promissing signs...they just didn't come through to the internaitonal stage

I don’t buy this nonsense about ‘player power’. The review involved asking the players for honest feedback. They gave it. Robertson was a dud coach. Worse, the governance around his appointment was appalling, as evidenced in Ian Foster’s eye-opening autobiography and as corroborated by Joe Schmidt and others. This all stems from Mark Robinson’s mismanagement and a NZR administration that couldn’t run a chook raffle. You could see Robertson’s inevitable sacking coming a mile off, perhaps as early when Leon MacDonald walked. The drifting, unfocused and shapeless onfield performances by the ABs were merely the end by-product of the chaotic culture under Razor.

If the problem was Robertson losing the dressing room, then that's down to him and him alone. Winning the respect of the players is pretty basic for a head coach.
