Its fairly obvious that Tony Brown would be the main target after what happened in Wellington and the fact that after 2 years he hasn't been able to get the All Blacks backline functioning.

Unless Brown had a special clause written into his contract, SA would be bonkers to let him go, surely?

The curious thing in all this is that it sounds like the senior players led the charge, but they're also the ones that have benefited most from the Razor regime.

Beauden Barrett, Ardie Savea etc have benefited from Robertson's blinkers, but it sounds like they want him gone.

maybe lacking self-awareness? truly believe theyre untouchable

Or maybe they actually care about the ABs and didn't think Razor was doing a good job, regardless of whether they played or not?

maybe, ive come to accept a lot of the current batch see it a s a job rather than an honour

I was called naive on here when i was disappointed the players didnt know the history or importance of some of the "firsts" weve had over the last few years like the losses to ireland

Ardie going to Europe is complete bullshit from his agent.

Leinster can't afford him (if they're paying him anywhere near the EUR 500k they're paying Jordie and Rieko.)
The Top 14 season is 30+ games long and get paid less than in Japan.

They'd also expect him to hit a ruck as a loose forward.

Not many loose forwards hit rucks, that is what tighties or second arriving players do.

Guess who should be the arriving players Dan? McCaw hit a fuckton of rucks to secure ball. So did Cane, Papali'i, Kaino, Messam, Masoe, Kronfeld et fucking cetera.

Yep and McCaw retired 10 years ago, before the jackler winning the ball first became the seeming be all an be all. I not saying they hit none, but these jokers all played in a different era. You watch the game these days , midfield backs get as many turnovers than a lot of forwards etc..

So a response to an argument that I didn't make.

I didn't say turnovers (the very thing Ardie gives up ground defensively to attempt), I said hits rucks. Loose forwards from other teams still seem to arrive quickly and shift bodies. I wonder why that is.

No, I say once ball is won, usually in 3 seconds these days, and if you not there in 3 seconds don't bother. You only hit it after tat if ball hasn't been cleared, stay out and make yourself useful. and that's not defending Ardie or anyone (I don't care who gets picked), I saying very few hit a majority of rucks .

Strangely other loose forwards both inside and outside New Zealand manage to be amongst the players that get to rucks and have an impact on them, rather than lining up like a halfback or first five.

    I wonder why that is.

almost impossible to say unfortunately. Some have looked ready for the paddock for a while and yet are first on the team sheet.

and possibly ALB. I think S Barrett is still in the top 4 or so locks and despite my gripes about Beauden our depth at 10 is a worry.

catch 22 when you dont make a serious attempt to blood a new 10, just rotating between RM, BB and Dmac over the last several years is not planning for the future
