I was about to say Sumo is normally wrong but after your post mmmmmm

I thought from Nepia's POV the C word would be Cantabrian or Crusader?

    Probably worse for @Nepia

These latest myths can't all be right. Have trouble believing no Crusaders wanted to be interviewed let alone weren't interviewed.
And don't think it can be totally preplanned unless Tony Brown is more cunning than a series of Black Adders. Something/s not adding up.

C word for Hawkes seems to be Charlie.

probably talking about two different things

Anthony doing the review would surely have talked to (nearly) everyone

then he would have handed his findings on to the others
and Kirk and Kev would have chatted a few of the "malcontents"
they probably already knew what they were guna do at this point

waste of time talking to the cantabs, hard to imagine any of them saying anything overly negative or objective about Razor, so why bother chatting them

    @His-Bobness

    agree
the player power element to the dismissal is over-rated
and it wasn't the results either, win/loss was ok
it was what was actually happening at game time, on the field, that caused them to act
the off-field stuff maybe just confirmed their decision

    Sumo on Sports nation

Inside scoop before any announcement was that it was player led by Beauden and Ardie, and Kirk coming out and defending them specifically near guarantees that was the case. They haven’t announced the new coach as yet, but Joseph is effectively the ONLY coach available, was seen in NZR prior to the announcement, with the Highlanders training disrupted as a result says they’re only waiting to do so to avoid the confirmation it was a hit job. Dame Patsy and RobINson’s atrocious mismanagement of the organisation is what’s played out here, and it’s all butt covering at Razors and the sides expense.

    Stevenson believe him or not

I think this is were George got his info about no crusaders interviewed.

I though BB was team Razor?

Also, I tend not to believe Sumo, he once called me the C word on here. 🙂

    CentralViking?

    Dame Patsy: nominative determinism?

To make it very clear, Robertson needed to go. But, there is no way in hell this team is suddenly going to turn it around in 12 months. No way. Don’t have the cattle, don’t have the skills. After all, beating the ABs last year was literally down to kicking contestable kicks. At the end of the year we could likely be looking at:

    1. First loss at our fancy new Stadium to what will be a 1st string French team
    2. First loss at Eden park in how every many years (against Ireland)
    3. Potentially the Bledisloe gone (least likely)
    4. How much are Scotland fancying their chances on that first Nh game?

Strap yourself in guys. This could get seriously ugly

Jesus Jimmy, you should run a course on Positivity

Thoughts? Why on earth wasn't Wayne Smith (NZR's director of high-performance) consulted before the decision was made?

Prolly because it wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome?

Why wasn't Wayne Smith called on to help guide Razor? I seem to recall he spent time in camp at various points in the season, did he not realise things were going bad?

First of all, love that this is an article about an article about an article.

Second, the whole Wayne Smith is a little bit perplexing.

Know Smith struggled a little bit working with Robertson so wouldn't expect him to have jumped to Razor's defence (and laud his competence). Suppose it's possible to not gel with someone but still think they deserve time in the saddle but it's a little odd.

Seems like he's off base. Where was he when Robinson was CEO? I don't remember him calling Mark a clown

Smith had a difficult working relationship with Razor? A pattern seems to be emerging....

Exactly. And the dressing room had spiralled out of control, the reports were damning.

NZR have acted like clowns. That seems to have stopped as of last week. Hopefully.
