That's a good point but in his case he was clearly negotiating. Not sure of Dalton's actual status/intentions.

There’s video of the interview. From memory it’s a bit like this. Tvnz reporter asks Dalton if he’s leaving. DP doesn’t respond quickly enough. Reporter says something leading about not decided yet? DP says yeah

@duluth ...and this is why all the players and coaches give scripted non-answers to everything and every interview and press conference is as boring as fuck. It would be nice if every sentence wasn't over-analysed to death so people could actually speak freely.
As another example look at Robertson's comment about Hansen doing the coaching: everyone is anti-Robertson (rightly, because he is responsible for results) so they believe 100% what they want to believe and use it as a stick to beat him with, then 100% don't believe the same fucking person when he tries to correct his statement. I have no idea what the truth of it is, but the inherent bias in the comments is a bit fucked up - and anyone who sees that sort of thing is going to limit their answers to everything, which actually sucks. -
