Fekitoa reflex action but off to the bin.

A Smith needs to be pulled ASAP.

My first reaction was there was nothing in it. But YC justified in this case.

They even mentioned Peyper being influenced by the crowd in the after match discussion on tele. I think it was obvious that he was. The booing was awful and I really hope the Aussies do the Irish over (never thought that I would say that). Terrible crowd, more embarrassing than booing Qwade (even though he deserves it).

Hanson just said "all you want the ref to do is be consistent. That's all I have to say about that."

      Says it all really.

How great is it to have two locks that tackle, compete at the ruck, take lineout ball, and just do their job.

How poor was Aaron Smith? Most notable is that his kicking has gone to the dogs.

Even before Cane went off our loosies were struggling a bit at the breakdown. In attack I thought Squire and Read were very good.

Barrett looked freshened with the week off. Showed a clean set of heels a few times.

Like our back three today. Didn't do everything perfect, but a better overall performance.

Whether it's the NZ commentators or the Irish ones I had on to start the game - mute is still the best option 🙂

        Well done ABs

I honestly expected a more comprehensive display from the Abs after the Chicago loss. Our loosies were well and truly outplayed after Cane left and our forwards in general were shaded by the Irish. I don't think we are that far ahead of the pack as originally thought. Ireland's injuries cost them dearly and were unlucky not too have scored on a couple of occasions. Fekitoa probably played his last game in an All Black jersey imo.

          @akan004

I am just not impressed with Fekitoa's accuracy in general, just way below AB standard. The thought of having Fekitoa, Savea, Naholo and Moala on the field at the same time is shocking but that's what we had in Chicago, I am starting to wonder if we can have more than one power back on the field at one time.

Bish bash bosh from Ireland, but they're not getting anywhere. Can't see them doing that all half - they'll run out of puff.

BB by far the best AB on the field. Read having a much better 2nd half thus far.

Very boozed right now surrounded by Irish so victory very sweet. But,

                  Fekitoa is dead to me.
Dumb rugby from us especially running the ball out from our own 22 when down to 14 men.
Very proud of our defence. Our locks and Dagg made a huge difference.

Brodie was a manbeast around the fringes - he made some absolutely monstrous cover hits that stuffed the Irish angled runners in their tracks and did it without going high like Fuckknuckle fekitoa

@DMX It didn't help, but losing our two world class locks and getting cleaned up in the lineouts was the major reason IMO.

                      @LagerLout

Losing our locks was a huge factor in Chicago but clearly Barrett jr would have put up more resistance than Kaino or PT in the second row, the mix in the backs was completely wrong, and Crockett should have been on the bench, A. Smith was not ready to come back though admittedly this was a harder call.

They can say what they want about the penalty count against the ABs, but half of those penalties were after the Irish moaning convinced the ref there was something wrong that wasn't actually worth a penalty.

The coaches should give themselves an uppercut as well. Aaron Smiths selection and performance for these two important Irish tests didnt work. The first you understand the second?

I don't know. They selected him knowing they TJP up their sleeve. It was a high upside, low downside bet.

I know Beaudy did some great things - but I thought BBBR played his best game of the season - absolutely awesome.

Defense was obviously much better. We knew was Ireland were going to throw at us this time.

Discipline still an issue - some soft penalties.

I'm still not sure what Julian Savea is adding - he was better than Chicago but poor under the high ball and turned the ball over numerous times when he did have a charge.

Be interesting to see who the 9 is for France test - Perenara pushing his claims, Aaron Smith not so much.

Who was the TMO - some shockers there - the Beaudy try and Sam Cane penalised for a head clash come to mind.

Schmidt has Ireland playing the type of rugby Gatland has spent 10 years trying to get Wales to play.

Yeah, 9 points is poor considering they had 20 minutes against 14, at home, with a crowd influencing a ref

It isn't the ref making high tackles taking the head offs the opponents or doing the Aaron Smith offside play at the breakdown. Just curious why you say Peyper is a home town ref. Between him and TMO he gave AB's 14 points for free. He didn't have balls to go to TMO on a forward pass. We all know the try wasn't grounded by Beaudy. Refs must realize that with cams from all angles things get picked up. 2 errors from TMO / Peyper cost Ireland the game. Wait for the press. 🙂

It looked forward from that camera angle but looks fine to me.

                                        It never looked forward.

After Fekitoa scored and Barrett was lining up the conversion, the usual TV director shit comes up and he shows the last pass which was flat, a few in the stadium start to boo, Rory Best comes running from behind the posts up to Barrett who was preparing the kick and PEyper and wnats them to check

                                          It wasn't even flat.

But at least O'Piper sends him away. Eventually.
