@jegga i saw that and was debating with myself about posting it. Decided I was going to but hlad you've done it for me.

Didn't realise the extent of the love for France in Ireland that he feels the need to bring up 5 year old lies and try link that to some week old lies in an effort to besmirch All Bkack rugby. Rather sad and pathetic really.

Yes a lot (LOT) of people really REALLY want to believe the ABs gog the rub if the ref in 2011. But saying it over and over, and even believing it, doesn't make it true.

If someone can go through the game and list ALL the offenses that the ABs committed can they please do so.

The ABs were so so damn careful not yo offend in that second half. And they didn't.

Further Joubert's incorrect calls favoured France massively.

I'll admit to being somewhat Pavlovian when this outright lie gets bought up. I HAVE to respond (much like "Poaching") just in case even one prebiously ignorant becomes better informed. Otherwise "Edmund Burke's over-used adage is sadly still relevant here: 'The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing'."

    🙂

@booboo the same people who want to believe we stole the 2011 game are usually the same people who refuse to admit we were shafted in 2007. The Irish reaction to that game online and according to the posters who had the misfortune to interact with them in real life was appalling. I guess the embarrassing behaviour from their press and that whiny manchild Best this week shouldn't really come as too much of a surprise ,

@jegga 2007 was just righting previous wrongs.

I expect there will be another major correction in due course to put us back in our box and appease the rumours that the evil NZ Rugby Corporation doesn't actually run world rugby due to its financial clout it wields over the poverty stricken English and French boards.

@taniwharugby previous wrongs.....of course . Makes sense, if you're a bitter twat from a country with a massively lopsided win loss ratio against us.

Looking forward to the next outpouring of rage from the Emerald Isle, their tears taste better than their beer.

Mr Francis, that is simply sensational.

can I just quickly stereotype you and suggest you head to the nearest pub and get yourself a guinness? I think you really need one.

    Wow.

Imagine what it would be like if Ireland lost a close one with some bad ref calls against them?

Will be interesting to see how Ireland front up against Australia this weekend. This week kind of feels like that period last year when Ireland played France and then Argentina back-to-back in the World Cup. Once again several key players are shorn through injury and you'd imagine those fit to go will be a bit drained from last week's encounter. Can they raise it to match Aus? I'm going so I hope for a good game! 🙂

It's been a distracting week, imagine both Ireland and NZ could get tripped up on the weekend.

Jeez - Neil Francis does it again.

He gets paid by the cliche. I thought Stuff was ignored on here, but people seem to be reposting their articles regularly enough.

One minor retort/rant - the attempt to label Best as some kind of cry-baby, sook, or whatever other NZ phrase is appropriate is just wrong.

He was asked a question about people getting injured and he responded that no one likes to see anyone getting stretchered off a pitch. His response also included the comment that Ireland knew that NZ would play hard and hit hard, there were no surprises. He wasn't complaining. Or whinging. Or being a sook. Or whatever hardening up people think he should do.

    Mini rant over.

There was more to it than that, in that article he said he pleaded with the ref to go upstairs on two occasions -Barrets try which was a try and he said Fekitoa scored off a forward pass .He has no right to tell a ref to go upstairs and he was wrong on both counts anyway. He was whinging, its beggars belief that theres a perception from the Irish media that somehow their team was hard done by in that game and they are still whining about it now .
    Diplomatic immunity ffs.

Francis and Kimmage. Their paper has a lot to answer for.

At least Kimmage knows nothing and never played rugby. What's Neil's excuse?

Stuff is shit. But it's also one of only 2 traditional print options nad probably more than 50% of our old print media banners. So it's hard to ignore completely.

It does have a mix of serious plus trolls - in its actual journos.

Comments, and Stuff Nation should be avoided completely though.

Re-tread of NH stories are shit.

Weirdly I have heard no mention of Brendan Gallagher in the All Black bashathon.

    He sick? Dead?

He is (or was) the Irish Stephen Jones.

Where do you draw the line?

Is it acceptable to whinge about the whinging about the whinging?

We're just going to get into this ridiculous rusisian dolls situation.

"Have you met whinge? And their little whinge and their little whinge?"

    To paraphrase FOTC

The good thing to come out of all this ,

Ireland are now a genuine rival ,

Our clashes with them from now will be something to look forward to , and that is a good thing .
