And here I was thinking Canadians were laid back easy going alternatives to Americans.
Look the Irish are extremely loyal to their local sides. They are superb at supporting their team they travel en masse around Europe to do so.
The flip side is that objectivity is not a strongpoint as that would negate blind loyalty and as i said if there's one thing you can't accuse the Irish of its disloyalty.
The Irish were aggrieved about what they saw as thuggery and went into bat for their side. It's what they do.

Wasn't even a particularly controversial game from an Ireland / reffing / judiciary perspective. Very surprised, as watching with my own patch on, that most definitely wasn't what I thought the after match focus was going to be.
It's been amazing to me to read.
Don't know enough about Irish media to differentiate the paid trolls from legit journos, so impression sticks.

This. I don't see why we can't discuss the reaction from the Irish . It's been something to behold considering the game wasn't even close and the things they were whining about were for the most part bullshit,

Seriously though, why do you even care?? You did win the game right? What's the big issue with some idiot journo writing something that's less than complimentary about your team? I actually don't understand it.
For example, Stephen Jones is always writing derogatory stuff about the Irish team, but everyone here just laughs at him!edit: I had to check whether I'd used "your" or "you're" in there. Thankfully not.

Basically @bluedex this is our outlet to point out inaccuracies about points.
Most of us here are NZers and we're part of the All Blacks as a result.
When some inaccurate, and in many cases offensive, comment is made about a team of which we are a part, and extended to include each and every one of us (ie., "Cheating New Zealanders") we like to defend ourselves.
This is our forum for doing so. We don't have access to mass circulation publications in which to write offensive lies like so many of your columnists have.
