Having watched my wife have 2 kids, I do find these "I didn't know I was pregnant' almost impossible to believe.

Knowing someone well who genuinely didn't know they were pregnant, I was as surprised as you when it happened.

Slim lady, 7-8 months prego, not showing (I last saw her the week before she popped). Went to hospital with abdominal pain, and you can guess the rest

She's a sane, normal, intelligent person, finished her degree, married the father (already a long term relationship) and it's all worked out well. Kid happy and healthy, with an interesting backstory 🙂

It does happen. I've known the person for 20+ years, and believe her when she says she didn't know she was pregnant. Feel sorry for dad though - wound up being called to the hospital as his girlfriend was admitted, and then directed to the maternity ward.

People are skeptical, but from a data point of '1', it does happen to normal people.

@nzzp this lady was not slim
Nice that she has a supportive family and people have donated lots of stuff to help her out though.

@Snowy When I taught in Taiwan some of my cherubs included Apollo, Prince, Q-Bee, Mermaid, and Racer. Another teacher had a Free Pizza (cos everyone loves free pizza.)

I had at least one Apple in every class.

Lol. Free Pizza. I like "Racer" that's cool. Not sure about Mermaid, just smells a bit fishy...

    Ye,p Apple was quite common.

I also worked with a Hong Kong female pilot (sorry Bones, probably showing off again but there were 2500) called "Wing Man". Some people are just destined to do certain jobs it seems.

I wonder what young Metallica will do?

    From Herald's Sideswipe:

Tatler has produced a list of the best posh baby names for 2017. They assure readers every name is real, even Npeter (with a silent N). Yes really. Others names for boys include Euripides, Fenston, Wigbert, Victory and Quail. Making a comeback are Kenneth, John and David. Girls are also burdened with Debonaire, Hum, Figgy, Koala, Monaveen, Czar-Czar and Gethsemane. Although Una, Wendy, Nancy and Blanche have been revived.

You might not want to "stalk" young school girls or it will be you in a cell with Mr Big playing mummies and daddies. It will be interesting to see how Metallica's life turns out though.

TSF is a weird place I came here looking for rugby news and now I'm going to be following a biography of a child that I never met purely because of her name. Got to think that M4L might be right about her stripper future...dominatrix maybe? Which begs the question of her stripper name. No life till leather? Ride the lightning? Hard wired?

@Booboo. I am struggling to see how Tatlers list of "posh" names includes Hum and Koala (so I see why they are on the Bogan thread). Also NPeter is Peter to the "N" when you get past DecaPeter you have to start squaring them or cubing them (see "Tri-Peter above).

Bogan is the new posh, it seems. I suspect Npeter would get himself to the deed poll office as soon as he was legally able. Ditto for Hum, and the unfortunate Quail and Koala.

@Mokey Yeah, they ain't Posh. Tatler will be publishing articles on luxury holiday destinations like Invercargill, Tokoroa and Ballarat (nothing against those places, they just aren't posh).

You are assuming that Npeter is a guy? Zhe could be any number of genders...but this might be the wrong thread for that.

Good luck with that around here. Some very short attention spans.

Debonaire is indeed a perfect stripper name.
"Hi guys, I'm Metallica Debonaire and if I could just get a volunteer...yes you, the Mariner, if you could just put this in your mouth and..."

'It's a girl's name, let's face it': An unimpressed Sir Bob Geldof begs Peaches to change his grandson's name

Peaches gave birth to her first child last week and named the little boy Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof- a name both herself and her fiance Thomas Cohen had picked out before he was even born.

    Oh really?
