Movie review thread...

[Bovidae]

Green Room.

This movie was getting good reviews so I thought I better check it out. An interesting premise about a punk band ending up playing in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessing a murder at a neo-nazi skinhead bar. The bar owner is played by Prof X in a role against type. The suspense in the movie is based on the band being stuck in a room with no idea of their fate, and what is on the other side of the door, until they realise they need to escape. In the end it's an OK slasher/thriller with plenty of dumb people. Except for Amber - she had some balls (metaphorically speaking).

Anyone seen war dogs? I watched in on a plane recently, classic Jonah Hill in a movie directed by Todd Phillips. A strong 4 faulty rounds of Chinese AK47 ammunition out of 5

@canefan I find Jonah Hill to be one of the most annoying "actors" out there so ignore his movies like the plague.

@canefan yeah just saw that at a mates mini theatre in the weekend. Top movie, really enjoyed it and had no idea about the true story, crazy stuff.

Thought Hill was good. Played a fluffybunny to perfection. I like fluffybunnies.

Ok, to clarify are you saying it was an excellent movie or a terrible movie? Or the best possible terrible movie?

This trailer is not as moving as that first awesome one with Johnny Cash's 'Hurt, but this one is certainly bad ass IMO.

It's one of those trailers that gives away a bit much and there's a funny bit at the end with Prof X which might be better saved for the movie.

@jegga Yeah, that's the problem. I'm psyched to see the movie but wish I didn't know as much about what happens in it.

I watched this last night, also thought it was pretty good.

Was interesting to see David Packouz actually had a cameo in the movie, whereas Efraim didnt, probably because he was a grade a fluffybunny!

Ana De Armas is pretty god damn tidy too! Looking forward to the Blade Runner reboot now!
