Bridesmaids; I liked it, similar in plot (even a character) to Hangover with more smutty jokes, the fat chick is disgusting, but funny
How to Train your dragon, kids film, based on a series of books, was a cool tale and my son loved it!

I was watching Moby Dick the other month (a superb abridged version scripted by Ray Bradbury and directed by John Huston - and a movie I am surprised hasn't been remade) and Peck makes an excellent Ahab. But every time I see him, be it Guns of Naverone or To Kill A Mockingbird), and certainly through no fault of his own, I can't stop thinking about this.

"Drive" starring Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston and Ron Perlman is out in the states this week.
Has got some good reviews, looking forward to hearing the TSF opinions before it gets here next month.

For a book that is mostly unfilmable, Huston directed a really nice abridged version that retains the story, and the effects hold up pretty well.

Horrible Bosses; pretty solid cast in attendance (Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, Jason Batemen, Jennifer Anniston, Colin Farrel, Donal Sutherland)

Had heard some poor reviews so went in not expecting much, and I actually liked it, quite a few moments had me chuckling away.

Went to see Moneyball last night. 7/10. The writers did a pretty good job pulling a movie out of that book. But it's the book that should really be read by all sports fans.

Wife convinced me to watch Crazy, stupid love...Steve Carrell, JUlianne Moore, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei plus a few other faces I knew. Am in deficit because of constant rugby viewing the past 2 or 3 months....

Had quite a few moments I thought were funny, but mostly it is what it is, a rom-com!

Monsters - An alien breed has cut off part of Mexico and a journalist and American tourist are trying to make their way back to the USA through the occupied area. The aliens looks lame but a good story none the less. 7/10

Machete - Throw in some nice looking latina honeys, loads of blood and gore, and one mean looking hero who eats burritos and you have a Mexican exploitation film. Not bad although the battle scene at the end was very camp and comical. 5.5/10 but 10/10 for the Avellan twins.
