started watching the new series of True Blood...WTF! First half of the new episode????

Really gone down hill since S1, glad I have Breaking Bad, SOA and next month Dexter to watch!

rather than give True Blood a whole post; watched up to E3 and decided to flag it, wife is still watching, I have asked her to let me know when the dragons, elves and trolls make and appearance!

New sOhO channel on Sky (for NZ viewers who havent downloaded them already) seems to have cornered the market in quality drama. Downton Abbey 2, Empire Boulevard 2, Game of Thrones, Borgias. Plus exclusive access to HBO content.

Cleverly launching a week after RWC Final.

Empire Boulevard 2, GOT, Mad Men all being advertised on SoHo. Borgias will be FTA on TV3 and a search for Downton 2 in NZ brought up a Prime Tweet implying it would be there.

I'm finding SOA4 compelling viewing. You are watching knowing full well that there ain't gonna be a happy ending to this tale. The Hamlet comparisons are lining up big and Hamlet was, after all, a tragedy. The hole is getting dug deeper and deeper.
The characters are just so f'ing good and believable too. So far there is no 'filler' to pad the series out like Series 3 either.

I'm only just at the start of Season 2 and finding it not as good as season 1....does it heat up? And should I skim through season 3?

Yeah, season 2 gets good. Season 3 should probably be skimmed.

Series 3 does set up a lot of the major storyline, it's just dragged out a fair bit. If you did decide to skip it at least read the plot summaries.

Just discovered I have a new channel called Soho or something, what are they putting on that?

I'm mentally prepared for Sky to wait till it gets popular then make it a pay channel, if it is any good I'd love to swap it for the two estrogen channels vibe and E.
