This is pretty shit for Parker and a big hassle for Duco and folks who purchased tickets or booked on sky.

My pick would be someone like Rudenko or maybe Cojanu. Zhilei Zhang could be a good sell as he is 15th and has beaten Parker twice in the amateurs, an olympic silver medallist plus he's not getting any younger as he is 34 so maybe he'd be the best option in what is a shit situation.

          What a mess ,

quite a few fights coming up that im keen to have a look at ,

Klitschko v Joshua , Canelo v Chavez , Spence v Brook , Pacman v Horn , Kovalev v Ward and I had the parker fight on that list

Something doesnt add up , I suspect some underlying financial issues

Or Fury's camp completely fucked up their plans and decided to pull the plug and hope for another payday down the track.
It was weird that they didn't travel over earlier. Maybe they got caught out trying to train in a friendly environment as long as possible then realised that they had left it all too late?
Also wouldn't surprise me if there were further travel issues for the trainer. He got NZ Immigration to allow him in but may have hit hurdles looking to transit through the US.

@Crucial Ive got no idea of the details of his contract , but my thoughts were

if it was related to sales of PPVs and that was not looking as good as planned , maybe they pulled the pin ,

There are a lot of good fights coming up internationally , outside of NZ , this one has been getting little to no coverage ,

Could be a combination of things ,

One thing is for sure , the Furys are dodgy

The Fury's are a waste of time. As soon as they lost the purse bid they weren't at all interested in taking this fight not to mention the drug issues with Hughie and Tyson that haven't been cleared up. Hughie has now ducked Wilder, Joshua, Whyte and Parker.

@African-Monkey as soon as mental illness comes into the equation everyone treads carefully , particularly the media , and that is understandable ,
But no one has mentioned that by Tyson declaring he is suffering from mental issues , the positive drug tests got sweeped under the carpet .
Looks far better for him to lose his titles through being ill, than through testing positive to drugs ,

looks like it could be american Dominic Breazeale ,

Here are the highlights of Anthony Joshua punching the crap out of him 🙂

But it did take 7 rounds to finish him , Joseph could possibly make a statement by doing it quicker perhaps ?

Frank Warren talking about the fight being rescheduled now and it being in the UK.
Was this the ploy all along? Fury was a mandatory and if they can get a dodgy doctors certificate will argue that they are still due a fight.

So Fury has apparently had a back injury for the last three weeks that has left him unable to train properly yet two weeks ago the camp was tweeting pics of him sparring declaring him 'fresh and ready'.
                        What a crock of shite.
Rumours about that he got KO'd in sparring as well.

There's just way too much other shit around this to believe it as a simple late injury.
They will have a doctor's note though, which they will hope lets them off.
Talk is that the doping hearing will now be brought forward if his isn't going to be fighting.

                            • reluctance to travel
                            • doping test results hanging over them
                            • travel requirements due to Peter Fury's convictions
                            • no friendly UK judges
                            • not attempting to turn up in time to deal with jet-lag
                            • contradictory readiness statements before and after pulling out

Hopefully the b tests will come back + and the whole Fury clan will have to retreat to their corner for a while. Wilder can step in to fight Klitscho/AJ and JP can fight the winner of that.

@kiwiinmelb According to Kevin Barry's son, Breazeale only wants to fight in September so it won't be him.

Having said that, Breazeale is a tough nut. He's very slow and lacking somewhat in skill but he does have a lot of heart and will go to the very end.

I read that they want someone tall similar to Hughie as they have prepared for a tall opponent which only really leaves Razvan Cojanu and Zhilei Zhang out of those rankings. Zhilei Zhang is scheduled to fight this week so I would be suprised if it was anyone other than Cojanu from what Parker's camp have said.

Razvan Cojanu a 6 foot 7 virtually unknown Romanian will be the replacement fighter , ranked 78th

Watched a bit of you tube footage, looks slow and sluggish ,

A no win situation for Joe, in fairness not his fault though

Interesting that Higgins has been the sole voice from Duco, at least as far as I've seen. Maybe it's too risky to let Dean of his chain - they must be fuming, esp when the Fury's started mentioning Duco wanted to move the fight to the UK.

@Paekakboyz I'm sure I read that Duco have split their roles so Higgins is solely in charge of Parker now.

Lonergan is responsible for the Auckland nines and Brisbane 10s.

They're moving the venue from Vector (sorry, Spark) Arena to the Vodafone Events Centre, which only has 25% the capacity of the former. I understand the need to reduce costs without the UK interest and loss of some sponsors but does this mean that less than 3000 tickets had been sold for the Fury fight to date?

if you compare that to Joshua v Klitchcko ,

90,000 tickets sold out in 20 minutes ,

ringside seats are being sold for 50 grand
