@hydro11 taking his time moving up the ranks may be difficult as a title holder .

WBO will want their belt associated with big as possible names and big fights .

Bigger names drawing big ppv numbers can cherry pick who they fight , I've got a feeling the wbo will not allow him that luxury.

It seems like no one really wants to fight Parker though. He certainly won't be fighting Joshua anytime soon because Joshua has lucrative fights against White, Klitschko and Fury. The only big fight I can see Parker getting is Wilder. I think most people would agree that if Parker can't beat Wilder, he won't beat Joshua anyway.

@hydro11 wilder makes sense at some stage with the winner walking away with 2 belts . Joshua would prob be interested in that winner for unification purposes .

With Joe , danger fights could depend what mandatory s the wbo throw his way .

So far they have had haye and h . Fury lined up , both fell through .

Be interesting to see what happens .

Wilder lets the cat out of the bag , claims the guy Joseph is fighting was his sparring partner in preparation for Fury ?

Not a surprise. JP said himself last week that Cojanu knows him better than any other boxer except Izu Ugonoh (his former training partner).

I read last week that Cojanu had done quite a bit of sparring with JP.
He's a tall guy and was needed for Fury

Ok , he doesn't look impressive in the limited you tube footage available.
I wouldn't be paying for it , think we get it for free here in aus , so all good .
Canelo v Chavez should be a classic on Sunday .

Agreed. Good technical boxer but not ready for an athletic heavyweight

Went to the afl , and watched it on these cool TV screens that fold out from your seat ,

Looked lacklustre, he won't have too many of the top heavyweights having sleepless nights .

Rumors are getting louder that Tony Bellew could be his next opponent in England ,

Bellew is the best cruiserweight in the world , who recently came up to heavyweight ( probably looking for the better money fights) and defeated David Haye ,

Probably a good match up for both of them , Bellew is a smaller man with good boxing skills and good ring smarts ,

I probably lean towards Bellew going off his performance against Haye ,
put it this way Joseph will need to show more than his recent fights or i can see him getting outboxed

Bellew talks a good fight , this is interesting , go to 3.40 where he and Eddie Hearn( promotor ) discuss Parker and Duco

@kiwiinmelb I can't agree with you about Bellew being the best cruiser in the world. He'd barely be top 5 that's why he went to HW to avoid challenges at CW and make himself look like a hero when he knows he's out of his depth there.

He got lucky against Haye where he was losing comfortably before Haye got injured mid fight.

It should be an easy night for Parker if this fight gets made.

@African-Monkey Ill put my hand up and say i havnt watched a lot of cruiserweight and may have been sucked in by his marketing people ,

But I still see it a s a danger fight for Joseph ,( who im struggling to get impressed by) but I guess they all are from here now ,

@kiwiinmelb Haha fair enough. The CW division is stacked at the moment and probably my favourite division along with HW. Also, it's possibly the strongest it's ever been and tbh, I would rather see Bellew back there taking on the likes of Usyk, Briedis, Huck etc but the money is better at HW so I can't fault him for wanting bigger paydays.

I though Parker did some good things last night, unfortunately it also showed that he may be lacking in power at the top level but he does possess some very good boxing skills.

Yup hope to catch it. Should be a cracker of a fight.

@African-Monkey my favourite area is around welterweight-junior middle- middleweight, love the skills , depth and quality
Canelo is probably my favourite fighter right now and contrary to popular opinion , I tip him to end triple g s reign if they can get that deal done ,
But today presents its own big challenge, Chavez bangs hard , and canelo has jumped from his usual 154 to 166 pounds to make this fight happen

Parker is bloody quick ( helped hugely in comparison to the lamppost he was up against ) but he really lacks KO power.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a stream for the canelo fight I'd be hugely appreciative 🙂

                                          Via pm of course.

No idea why sky have decided not to offer it in nz. Very disappointing
