Exerpt from Wikipedia
"Personal life
Gadot married Israeli real estate developer Yaron Versano on September 28, 2008.[41] They have two daughters.[42][43][44] Until 2015, the couple used to own a luxury hotel in Tel Aviv, which Gal Gadot says she helped to run, including changing the bedsheets in the rooms herself.[45] They sold their hotel to Roman Abramovich in 2015 for $26 million.[46] Gadot has a passion for motorcycles and owns a black 2006 Ducati Monster-S2R.[47]"Damn, now who's imagining Gal in a french maid's uniform?!!??
Way, way ahead of you
Any excuse to uncork this guy.
She also likes motorcycles and is handy with military grade firearms. I wonder if she practices at the range?
Yeah , a Ducati fan .

The Magnificent Seven
Remake. Never saw the original because 60s Cowboy movies aren't my thing. But this was on Netflix, and I was bored, so there you go.
Look, it was OK. You've got some solid stuff in there from Denzel Washington, but mostly it was just guns n splosions and a hot red head female lead, with a bit of smart-arsey from Pratt and D'Onofrio's trademark weirdness.
2.5 out of 5 gatling guns.

Just saw Dunkirk. Intense. Really did a great job if capturing some of what happened during the evacuation, my only complaint would be it didn't seem to capture the immense scale of what happened at least visually. I really hope the success of this film leads to more, there are so many untold incredible stories from that time and generation sjw seem to have completely lost the plot with their understanding of history. 9 out of 10.

Suicide Squad
Another Netflix job. I thought it was a lot of fun, actually. If you can leave alone some of the stupidity in the plot, and treat it like a fucking comic book movie that requires bad decisions to get off the deck then your disbelief is suspended, and you're ready to enjoy Margot Robbie in short shorts. Hooray!
(Aside: I was at an expo here in Sydney recently and there is a cosplay model who looks just like Margot Robbie - this is her http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3788297/Cosplay-enthusiast-21-spitting-image-Margot-Robbie-Suicide-Squad-sends-fans-spin.html )
Anyway, lots of blowing-up-and-alien-shit-things-with-end-credits-scene which leads onto Justice League nicely.
3.5 Puddins out of 5

So, Wonder Woman.
Firstly, the obvious, holy fuck Gal Gadot as WW is spastically hot.
Overall I thought the movie was pretty good. Seemed to have good heart. But why oh why are DC movies so fucking bleak? Comic book movies should be fun. This wasn't fun. It also drags at several points. And there wasn't even a decent villain for basically the whole movie.
I would give it 3 smoking hot amazons out of 5 holy fuck Gal Gadot.
Then i read IMDB and holy shit did people hate this movie!!
-
@mariner4life Damn, I thought Wonder Woman was the funnest DC movie yet ....
@taniwharugby There are also some cosplay outfits where the people don't look hot sadly ....
@NTA Was that expo Supernova? I read the article you linked to and I actually chatted with the guy who is Thor. One benefit of my job is that we have a booth at those shows so I get free tickets and can wander round and check things out. I might check our footage and see if that Margot Robbie lookalike was filmed at our booth.
-
@mariner4life haha, IMDB is full of douche bags who feel they are movie critics.
@Nepia I try to avoid the uncool unhot cosplay ones...

Sadly sometimes you can't avoid them, like the overweight guy as Wonder Women I saw. I had to scour the internet for images of Gal Gadot to get that out of my head.

From memory it was the EB Games expo earlier in the year. There was a guy there dressed as the Joker from SS but he just looked like a sad dickhead. The chick as Harley Quinn was receiving a stack of attention - gotta say that after seeing the movie she's nailed the look.
-
Watched the movie 'Resolve' on TV1 last night, which is the true story about Chris Crean when he stood up as a witness against the Black Power in New Plymouth.
Pretty hard watch, while his reasoning was admirable, the fact that he refused to go into Witness Protection was ultimately his undoing and many would say stupid.
I don't actually recall this at the time, which is odd as I am pretty sure it would have made big news at the time
-
@taniwharugby I just looked him up - really interesting story. Kind of fucked up how neighbourhoods can get like that, either through fear, or apathy. It is the sort of case that makes you wonder if there isn't a way to speed up the court system for cases like that.

Didn't see the show, I followed the story at the time though and that guy was as brave as hell. His wider family suffered very badly afterwards too, it makes for sad reading if you want to look it up .

In my previous job we went to the Games expos, but sadly in my current one it's only Supanova/Comic-Con and film ones.
The games one was cool because they used to have shut out times when the punters were locked out, so I could go play any of the games without waiting.
Last years comic con had a lot of Overwatch cosplay, which was basically girls in skin tight costumes.

@jegga saw this posted on FB by Pana Hema Taylor (the guy that played Chris Crean)
Hi Pana, this is Tania Butler. I would like you to know how much I appreciate you. You acted so in tune in character of my late husband Chris Crean. My children and I have seen the movie and it's being really impacting for them. Stephanie was only 2 1/2 and Simeon well he never saw his dad so for them it was like the first time seeing him through your acting. I love how you captured his humour, he was a funny guy and everyone who knew him remembered him for his huge smile, belly laugh and joking around humour. He was such a brave guy.. honestly he was not afraid of anyone ...you captured that well too.
Thank you for your time, your acting is such a gift...God bless.

Cheers, thats awesome. i remember his league coach saying that even though he had a club foot he was able to play at a decent level mostly through sheer cussedness.

I should add: 0.5 of those marks were for Cara Delevignenen or however you spell it. I don't give a fuck if they digitally slimmed her down, femmenazis. She looked hot as that evil bitch.

Shit yes.
