I see SoHo is showing John Adams at the moment. If you get the chance to watch it this is a very well produced and acted series about the birth of the US of A from the Boston Tea Party on. <br />
Some excellent stuff that inspires you to learn a wee bit more about US history as its really quite fascinating.

Breaking Bad - up to date with this, and is still a cracking series, will be interesting to see where they take it as you can see some possibilities developing.<br />
<br />
Walt in particular seems to be poised to take the next step into being a total crime boss. He craves and loves the power and you can see he and Mike will come to a head. I also reckon at some point, possibly the end of the series, Walt may have a decision to make in regard to Hank; ie kill him or not...In regard to how they are cooking at the moments, this is setting themselves up to get caught! Also wonder if Skyler is going to take on a bigger role in the crime world.
Just watched the last ep of Continuum for Series 1. This show seemed to really find it's feet in the last few eps and after a middle patch where it threatened to become a cop show with a twist, it picked up the Time Continuum story fully and ran with it.<br />
<br />
I suspect they started with a story that really only had about 5-6 good stories in the main plotline and padded it out a wee bit to get to 10 episodes. Whatever the reason, it finished strongly and set itself up well for a yet to be confirmed second series.<br />
<br />
The main character is pretty easy on the eye too, especially when she gets into her special suit.<br />
<br />
Hell on Wheels Series 2 starts about right now.<br />
<br />
Agree with Tim that Alphas gets better as it goes on as well.<br />
<br />
I've noticed that quite a few of these shows take a while to get their mojo going and are often worth sticking with. I guess we get spoiled from time to time with shows that hit the ground running and expect that all others will do the same. It must be a hard road to get some of these past their first season.

Update on this. Am now halfway through season five of The Wire. Season four with the children was as fantastic as I remembered. Season 5 is more disappointing than I remembered, certainly not up to the standard of the first four. And I really enjoyed season 3. I don't remember it being as good as it was when it first aired. Overall, the show holds up a decade after it aired. And season 5 is still weak.<br />
<br />
<br />
Just finished season 2 & first episode of 3 - much bigger fan of 2 than season 1, although I found the drug trade stuff in 1 much more intresting than the ports, I think being more famliar with the characters helps things along. I see season 3 is revolving around beurecrats etc which just doesn't excite me at all. I will still watch it though i'm sure, at the very least to watch the evolving relationship between he Barksdale & Proposition Joe drugs.<br />
<br />
Brother Mouzone is an awesome character - I hope to see more of him & it's good to see Bubbles back so far in season 3. Actor who plays him is fantastic.

Bubbles is great all the way through and one of the only reasons to stick with Series 5.<br />
<br />
Stick with them all MR as Series 4 is by far the most satisfying.

My favourite show on TV at the moment is "Penn & Teller: Fool Us". It's a UK show where lesser-known magicians perform a trick for Penn & Teller, and if they fool them (ie P&T have no idea how they did it) then they get to go to Vegas and perform.<br />
<br />
It's on at like 11pm on a Friday night, but i watch it every week, some of the tricks are fucking awesome, and its great when P&T have to admit they have no idea how it was done.

Can't believe breaking bad only has 2 eps left, season has gone by quickly! Interesting to see where they end it!<br />
<br />
Enjoying season 2 of Falling Skies, quite a bit better than season 1 IMO.<br />
<br />
Also half way through season 1 of Battlestar Galactica, quite enjoying it, surprised I've never picked it up before...

watched the finale of Falling Skies last night, as far as final eps go, it was ok, but enjoyed this series, think it was better than S1.<br />
<br />
I assume the new lot of aliens who have arrived are known to Tom, as the look on his face gave the impression he knew who they were.<br />
<br />
Although his look was more of relief than one of concern, which is odd given you'd expect the only aliens he saw when in the ship woulda been the 'baddies' unless it was through the mind of the overlords he saw these other ones?...they kinda look like the Skitters, maybe a more evolved version of them??
Breaking Bad has been awesome. The train heist was gripping edge of the seat TV. Love how with that show out of nowhere it just punches you in the face sometimes.<br />
<br />
BSG - one of my all time fav's - fracking great show and it gets better in the later seasons. Love the soundtrack to BSG, I often listen to it, the later seasons the music gets awesome too. Wish I could forget it all and watch it again!

Breaking Bad seems to only be 8 episodes for this season?? Finale is a bit of a let down now IMO....<br />
<br />
although, not really a spoiler, but...<br />
<br />
The opening scene from the 1st episode, where Walt has obviously bought a cache of guns, which is usually a preview of a scene form the series, has not happened yet...so maybe just a break?? Cant see to find anything

The season is broken into 2 sets of 8 episodes, pain in the arse! Next half season is down as 2013 from what I can tell <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /><br />
<br />
I thought they finished episode 8 brilliantly, still the best series by far!

When I look at IMDB it doesnt list a start date for 2013 <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /><br />
<br />
I guess it was more that I didnt realise it was the finale when I think about it, alot came out of the last episode!<br />
<br />
Series has been great alright, good old Walt!<br />
<br />
I had said to my brother after ep 1 that I reckoned Walt was gonna have to kill Mike & Hank by the end of the season...he is buying into the power of creating his own empire and he is not worried about who gets in his way.
<br />
<br />
Maybe they split it as it is gonna be the final season?

SOA5. Just watched Ep1 and I really don't care if some people seem to think Sutter farked up with last season's ending, I like it. The characters are great and the subtle battle between Jax and Clay looks like it's going to be very good.<br />
The series takes up where S4 left off and there are a couple of bullshit devices to tidy up some of the mess from last seasons convoluted mess, but it looks to be set up again for a good storyline.<br />
Watching Clay shuffle around like a hunched over broken man while, all the time knowing that the cunning bastard is biding his time, is a real highlight and you can now see why killing him off would have been killing off the underlying story.<br />
The story has a bit to run yet as S5 and S6 are confirmed with rumours that they lead to a S7 finish
