ha, I enjoy reading most of Chris Ryans stuff, so I am sure I'll like the series, I'm sold!!

NO idea if I have read this book though, not that I am sure it will matter! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
1st episode of Homeland last night, interesting, the way they introduced Carrie back into the fold was always an obvious one IMO. -

My brother said he watched a new one called Revolution, only 1 ep so far and he said it seemed pretty good. only aired recently, said it was pretty good.
I saw an ad for this on TV2 last night, looks interesting (parts looked similar to Flash Forward) whereby bascially there is no longer electricity and the world is thrown into chaos, only up to ep 2 in the US, so it seems TV companies in NZ starting to realise airing things as close to the origin market is a good idea.... -
Strike Back continues to be good fun, so much titty, and fluffybunnys getting wasted in the head (seems to be the preffered method of offing blokes). Terrifically fun TV.

SOA seems to be moving along nicely....thought the cameo by Walter Goggins in the latest episode was brilliant!

The Tranny?

That Tig is one weird screwed up dude. I see Clays grubby fingers all over those home invasions too. -
haha, yep, thats the one, and yep Tig is farked up, although he's always been like that, IIRC in the first series he mentioned something about getting turned on by dead people or something?

Yeah possibly, I wonder if it is to do with the Mayor, although both could be.... -
Sunday night is TV night! Season 2 of "Homeland", then "Vegas" which i thought was pretty cool, and then "Strike Back" (best opening credits ever). Good stuff.

So Sorkin fans - what's the verdict on Newsroom. Personally I'm loving it. It has all the trademarks of his drama's but I'll put up with a lot just for the quality of his monologues. Just like Jed Bartlett was the President we should have, Newsroom is the TV news we will never get.

It's okay. Overtly anti-Fox and whilst some of it is far fetched they do capture what has become an extremely fast paced, short grab, controversy laden industry (24 hour news that is) -
Turns out you were right, not overly surprisingly, I still wonder if he is working with someone else as well.
Revolution has aired ep 1 & 2, and yes you have to ask what happened to the electricity and power (I mean why did anything powered, be it powered by electricity or not suddenly stop working)

Looks watchable, certainly not a must watch...got a wee concerned to see JJ Abrahms is involved, I still havent forgiven him for Lost! -

I watched the first half of the opening episode(s) and thought, what a crock of shit. They just set up a scenario without any rhyme or reason or attempt at explanation and then kicked off a story in this 'new world'. I stopped watching but kept the recording going just in case.

Last night I thought I'd give it a bit more effort and watched the rest, followed by last night's episode. It looks like they do actually have some kind of 'mystery' behind the lack of power and even a backstory being explained at a reasonable rate. Still way and wondering how much time I'll give it to grab me but my feeling is that it's either going to get better or worse very quickly. -
Its Abrahms Lost influence!!

Yeah I usually take 5 or 6 episodes before I decide if I dont like something (in the case of Lost it was 5 or 6 years) -

I lasted 1 and a half seasons of Lost before it lost me.

I have to admit to being a fool in watching 10 episodes of Alcatraz in hope each time that they were going to advance the actual story more than just a snippet each time. Once burned.... -

Geez, gotta love the cameos that SoA manages to conjure up. First King, then Goggins, now McHale. What others have there been?
I had no idea who you were talking baout until the Missus pointed him out!!!
Seems to be a bit more deaths of people close to the Sons this season???
