Does Mindhunter start getting good? Two episodes in and it's pretty tedious

    Gets excellent. Stick with it

I'm four episodes in and think it's great. I had to stop myself from going on a bingewatch at the end of episode 2.

Da,m, the end of the opening scene was a WTF moment.

Yeah but very little action since. I'm still 50/50 about it

Sounds like it's not your bag then, if you're wanting action from it.

    It's a cerebral programme. Not a 80s action movie.

I do get that but you can be all that and actually create a bit of drama and tension. This show doesn't.

Surely this fella from Stranger Things is another of the Barrett clan?

    @MN5 you should grab Startup!

Speaking of Stranger Things it is worth watching the 7-part Beyond Stranger Things as they explain many of the themes/references to other movies that might not have been so obvious, as well as the behind-the-scenes stuff.

Just finished both Stranger things 2 and Startup 1&2.
    Stranger things was excellent.

I loved the 1st season of startup but the second season, while enjoyable, was starting to really test my 'suspension of disbelief'.

Quite a few similarities between Silicon Valley and Startup, but I guess they are common to tech startups in general?

Obviously the Silicon Valley gang were always coming up against Gaven Belson, while the Startup crew have Alex Bell against them.

Good to see Perlman turn up (ep 3 I think I'm on) have to assume he is a dodgy fecker being mates with Nicks dad, and he is usually a dodgy fecker.

@taniwharugby Ron Perlman? Never dodgy, he's obviously a solid, reliable bloke.

Not much really grabbing me at the moment to invest time in.

However, next month (15/12) this is coming and I can't wait!

Finished Mindhunter, really enjoyed it. I was basically watching an episode a day but when mini binge and watched the last three last night. I like how the main character is annoying as fuck.

Has led me down a rabbit hole of reading about serial killers, which isn't that pleasant.

    Stranger Things 2 now.

@jegga That Kennedy stuff was actually interesting - but yeah, that Manson stuff was a bit freaky. Rogan is good value when not getting stoned.

@nepia if you haven't already you should read Mindhunter by John Douglas. Great book.
