Any one catch the fiasco that was the Parker presser yesterday. Fuck I felt sorry for Parker. Higgins is a muppet and no one should ever give Barry a microphone.

he really is a dickhead , I couldnt believe that press conference before the Fury fight when he turned up pissed, trying to make a name for himself, not sure if it was already shown here , fuck i felt embarrassed for Joe

@kiwiinmelb yeah when I saw this the day after it happened I was so embarrassed. How the fuck Higgins and Lonegan before him have managed to get this far in the fight game fucken A-Mazes me. Imagine how good Parkers prospect could be with articulate, clever promoters and a more effective corner team. Im going to start backing Fa to be honest. Parker is a good guy and I hope he proves to everyone that he deserves his belt but I just can not see it happening.

Oh well at least Higgins is getting their name out there in whatever silly way possible. It worked before the Hughie Fury fight whether people like it or not. If Higgins is more patient then they probably will get what they want eventually but instead he keeps dropping the price. I'd be shocked if AJ was next for Parker anyway and expect him to fight Lucas Browne instead.

I have tried to look at this from an angle that would sell fights and these isn't one.

What sells a fight is exuding confidence, arrogance, menace, flamboyance and/or all of the above.

Misleading so called evidence , cringe factor, amateur antics and immaturity just gets you forgotten about.

Higgins does come across as an amateur but he got the result he wanted at that Fury presser, i.e., a change of the ref.

He’s not trying to sell a fight, he’s trying to make Joshua so angry he demands to fight Parker.

Judging by Joshua’s comments today, it seems to be working

It's all very distasteful, but Higgins' antics appear to be working.

He's a Muppet and boxing is a Muppets game these days.

@damo Exactly you get nowhere if you don't act silly in boxing Just look at average heavyweights like Jarrell Miller and Dillian Whyte. They would be nowhere if they stayed quiet and stayed off social media.

Reading between the lines , this fight is going to happen ,

Hearn is saying its almost done ,

Win lose or draw , Joe will be earning a few million , so good on him for that , regardless of what happens I guess

Hope this fight sparks Parker into life. He has been getting slower and duller to watch. Reckon there seems to be a sweet spot pretty early on with Barry's training style. He seems to get fighters to a pretty decent condition, then sap that right out of them. Could it be he only gets them fit to better show their natural game!!? or is that being a bit rough? Hmmm

They've admitted that Parker's optimal fighting weight is lower than he's been in his most recent fights. Reading between the lines the extra kilos might have helped his durability but it has affected his hand speed.

Still can't see this fight happening for a while tbh. I'm still expecting Lucas Browne to be next for Parker.

Parker would be silly to take on anyone other than a prize fight or an easy beat. A slip up now would result in losing everything and going back to the pack as an unwanted opponent.

@crucial I would consider Browne as an easy beat for Parker. He's slow with little movement and has a lack of skill to trouble Parker. The only thing Browne has going for him is power and heart.

If this fight were to happen I would back Parker either by late KO or a wide UD.

A fairly tame tweet from Parker has really got to Joshua, who is now starting to come across as precious.

I think Hearn actually holds most of the cards to be honest despite all the noise coming out of the Duco camp ,

Titles aside , when it comes to money Joshua can earn big bucks no matter who he fights , Joe is just another one in line , on neutral boxing sites there is far more interest in a Joshua Wilder match up than a Parker one , particularly from British fans ,

Parker has one ticket to a big pay day ATM and that is against Joshua , even at 30 % he would be earning a lot more than he can anywhere else , by a long way , and Hearn knows it
