I thought Ted was shit. It was hyped by a few mates and fell flat for me. -
Rise of the Guardians - saw it in 3d with the wife and kids (her 5 and him
tonight. Got to say it was pretty amazing - he got home and dressed up as Jack Frost while she did her best tooth fairy. They are enamoured of the whole thing, and so are their parents.<br />

Older, more cynical kids may not enjoy it. -
Chronicle, 3 teenagers stumble across a hole in the ground with some mysterious object.It does some weird shit and they end up with 'super powers'<br />
All filmed via handy cam style, one of the 3 is your typical weird awkward carried a video camera everywhere he goes type teenager.<br />
You only see what he films himself or from ctv or other video cam footage.<br />
They start out enjoying the abilities to do shit with their minds (including the ability to fly) But turns to shit by the end.<br />
I enjoyed it, predictable but some pretty decent CGI and the flying sequences i thought were very well done.<br />

I watched two comedies on the weekend, one far better than the other.<br />

"The Campaign" with Zach Galifianakis and Wil Ferrell, just taking the piss out of American politics. I laughed my ass off many, many times in this movie (including my new favourite "your momma..." joke). Brian Cox's nanny is a highlight.<br />

But then "Ted" let me down a bit. Yea, i laughed in places, but not that hard really. Mila Kunis is not that hot. -

To be fair though once the initial laughs of if foul mouthed pot smoking horny bear wore off the other half of the movie was shit. -

Call me old fashioned but a real Bond would have smacked her in the mouth, fucked her sideways and then dumped her in the boot with her knickers for a gag.<br />

But Moores first two efforts were his best, he was actually pretty ruthless, surprisingly so. In "Live and Let die" blatantly nailing the black chick and then pointing a gun at her for information then in "Man with the Golden Gun" threatening to break the Swedish chicks arm. Despite the bad puns and slighly dodgy fight scenes he was much more hardass than people gave him credit for. -
[size=3][font=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Watched Les Miserables today and really enjoyed it. Russell Crowe is bollocks in it (all his singing scenes he looks like he is in a music video for his band) but everyone else is really good , especially Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen as the Thenardiers. 7/10 and will probably win the Oscars knowing how things go in Hollywood (though we all know it should be The Raid)[/font][/size]

My personal pet theory is that each new Bond actor reads the source material before they embark on their 007 adventure and thus, realising what a nihilistic, mysoginistic, psychopath Bond is, plays him accordingly. But after a few movies their inner luvvy can't deal with being a such a bastard that they inevitably regress. Lets hope Daniel Craig has the ability to keep it real for the rest of his run. -
Saw the hobbit part 1 and thought it was pretty bloody good actually. I was a bit conflicted about the "add-on" parts to begin with but enjoyed the screen time of Radagast in particular and was thankful they actually did add to the movie rather than take away from it or just look like cheap padding.<br />

Bit of a " jobs for mates" at points but it was part of the larger LOTR thing Jackson has done with a large part of his professional life. -

He seemed more upset at M bagging it than he did Vespa, which makes no sense to me. -
This is 40 - kinda a sequel to Knocked Up (without Heigel and Rogen) had some funny moments in it, but by frack it was too long at 2hours 11 mins!!

Took the kids to see; Rise of the Guardian in 3D.<br />

Miss TR didnt really like the 3D glasses after about 40mins, Master TR doesnt think much of 3D either...anywhoo, movie, was a good kids film, Hugh Jackmans character (Easter Bunny) was pretty funny (think Crocodile Dundee) and an interesting take on Santa...It was enjoyable enough, and at just over an hour and a half, all good for the kids.<br />

Master TR is keen to see The Hobbit, Life of Pi and Wreck it Ralph...I wanna see the Hobbit and heard good things about the latter, so Pi can continue to be a long number...
