    @jk

I was flicking through that channel the other day and saw videos by Billy Joel and Gerry Rafferty - both would be considered classic in the music sense. And then what was the next group? The fuckin' Spice Girls! 🙄

BTW, that's Margaret Urlich on backing vocals there.

Getting ready for the new Star Wars movie - this is the 12" single of Meco's disco remix of the original movie soundtrack. He does go through all the main themes in the correct order for Episode IV

    That's a big spend up @Rocky-Rockbottom !

Not sure those prices are exactly bargains eg your Devo Secret Agent man sells at around ÂŁ25

... I do like the look of those Isley's though. Jealous much.

Explosions in the sky - Those who tell.. LP $9
Explosions in the sky - The earth is not LP $10. might grow on me but not looking good. ps both these cunting lp's arrived brand new, in shrink wrap, and fuckign warped. GTFO.

Apropos of very little except that Explosions in the sky did the backing music on this video, which is my favourite skiing video - mainly because Telluride is the best and coolest place I've ever skied and this was the trailer that finally sold me on the choice!

Most of those prices are bargains. I'm a record dealer, and rarely buy anything other than NM-graded first pressings, 'cos they're usually less expensive than the overpriced modern re-presses; and you got mostly deals.

Funkadelic's Maggot Brain, 1st USA press, Mint, still in shrink, $5 at a thrift shop. That was my steal of the year.

The Association are super-corny, but after listening to a smokin' instrumental version by George Benson of "And Along Comes Mary" -- a mischevious pop hit about a young man solving the tribulations of life with a bong -- I had to get the original... and I can't get either out of my head. Subtly ingenious.

    you've lost me. 500 yen = $5. B-A-R-G-A-I-N

Ha, I misread your post and thought you paid 7,500 for it.

    Yeah 500 is a bargain.

The most cherished and beloved of my bands.

I fucking love this very underrated track by them:

"Oh ho, what a feeling baby, knowledge and brutality"

Thread crossover with TV but I really enjoy checking through BBC every now and then for their music docos.
With it being Xmas and all I just watched a re-run of the making and background of Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.

Good stuff. Probably the only Xmas song I can bear.

Now watching 'Tales from the tour bus' hosted by a Rick Wakeman. A mix of R&R tales all based around touring bands in old Commer vans.

Speaking of TV music shows, I enjoyed the 6-part series of Brian Johnson’s “A Life on the Road”. Even if you aren’t a fan of those particular artists/bands the shows were very informative.
