I'm listening to Dirty John currently, it's a Serial style podcast about a confidence man/grifter/all round dodgy fucker.

    Well worth a listen.

If you've ever wondered what its like to receive a massive electric shock which causes you to lose a hand, two ribs and a testicle then be diagnosed with testicular cancer then wonder no more. This podcast will cover all that.

Yeah - I never knew till recently that he was the author of "The Men Who Stare At Goats". He seems like a person who likes finding rabbit holes and jumping into them not knowing where they will end up

@stockcar86 the book is completely different to the movie , there’s mention of project ultra and the 9/11 bombers in it . Well worth getting your hands on, he snuck into Bohemian Grove with Alex Jones in the late 90s . It’s on the most recent podcast.

No such thing as a fish

A weekly podcast from the QI research team. 4 of them each have a interesting fact of the week, and they then riff of each others facts to fill a 30 minute podcast in front of a live audience each week. Funny, and informational.

Up to 191 episodes now, so a good backlog to work through if you like it.

ha!! I mentioned that about 6 months ago. I've seen them record the podcast, and their BBC TV spin off, So Such Thing as the News. Both excellent.

Incidentally, they're coming to New Zealand next year, worth checking out for sure.

The latest Episode One is a pretty good parody of music critics. Black Flanders and Seasonal Depression Candle are pretty decent parody songs.

Listening to this https://www.acast.com/theeasternborder/introduction , the narrator is pretty funny in a dry way . If you like Dan Carlin you’ll like this. The space race one is pretty hard going , the soviets really didn’t value human life and this has to be the worst open casket funeral ever.

Hear a Great Radio Documentary on William S. Burroughs Narrated by Iggy Pop

Images via Wikimedia Commons William S. Burroughs is one of the most mythologized American authors of the 20th century. When you recall the details of his life, they read like the biography of a fictional character. He was an unabashed heroin addict yet he dressed like a dapper insurance salesman.
