Moody, Franks and Perry all out leaves us pretty shorthanded in the propping stocks. Crockett and Alaalatoa are serviceable, but then the untried Lindenmuth, the last legs of Chris King and the somewhat underwhelming Jager.

Having both Drummond and Taufua fit and ready to go is a plus.

I presume that - as well as the various ABs listed in the article as out injured - so too are Mitchell Dunshea (again!) and Will Jordan.

I was expecting him to carve up the 10s but he was more Caleb Ralph than Caleb Clarke.

Nankivell was pants in the Blues game. That looks close to the first-choice backline with Ngatai in for Nankivell. Maybe the right wing spot is open too.

Aumua, Verney, Pulu and Ardron haven't seen sighted yet.

Take out Barrett and Coles, and that's a lot different looking Hurricanes team.

Barrett is a wizard at this level.

Good to see Fatialofa and Blade Thompson back in the line-up. Also interesting is Atu Moli selected at loose head for the Chiefs. Maybe his aspirations for an All Blacks call lay there.
