@mn5 hang on hang on... Not slapping women around is just being overly politically correct? That is ace.
I'm engaged to a Maori. She won't cook me eggs otherwise. A Hutt boy should relate to that.

I had no idea you even had a missus. You should mention it more.
Oh hey have you tried pilates?

Not everyone takes as much interest in me as you do. As for 'plates' I'm on a hiatus. Someone kept farting in the class.

@mn5 Attack of the Clones is the worst by the length of the straight
Some of the dialogue is absolutely awful I'll give you that ( it's hardly alone in that regard ), it drags with trade federation talk as well but there's enough awesome action towards the end to make it more than decent......
Still all in all I think this sums things up.....
Complains about awful dialogue but is also a huge Bond fan........
That dialogue is so bad it's good. They must be doing something right to be making movies for 56 years.
The jokes in those movies are about that old too
Bond wasn't averse to slapping a few women around too, I woulda thought an old school SJW hater like yourself would enjoy that?
Um , what ?

@mn5 that's certainly an opinion. It's a wrong one, but it's an opinion.
Eat a Dick. I've thought long and hard about it. It's rewatch value is not up there with the others as far as I'm concerned ( even the much maligned Phantom Menace )
The Phantom menace is un-rewatchable. And no, Darth Maul doesn't change that.
Says you. As long as everyone agrees Empire is the best of the lot then there shouldn't be any internet scraps about the also rans.....
You're the one who started it by pretending Menace isn't complete and utter bollocks.

Their last scene would have been great!

Deleted scenes from TLJ.
Some of these do counter a few of the criticisms and I wish they had been left in.
Finn's storyline in the released version seemed to be a complete sideshow whereas if you add these back in it has a purpose. Finn starts off with the same mindset he had when trying to leave the resistance at Maz Kanata's in TFA. Remember he only got back involved because he wanted to save Rey. By the end of TLJ he describes himself as Rebel Scum, with the Phasma part of his story being an analogy of the situation. I think they really cut the wrong parts in favour of the Casino set pieces with regard to Finn making him look like an unnecessary peripheral to the plot.
The 'third challenge' of Rey by Luke could have done without the bits reminiscent of Ewok parties but also contained a key line that makes Luke (and the movie title) more understandable. As he explains to Rey, he is up to his eyeballs in the old Jedi learnings which he has realised now are not the best way. That the galaxy needs people like her, not old jedi like him. After that the whole chat with Yoda thing makes more sense as well, with Yoda basically OKing his decision to stop the old ways and that he doesn't have to feel like the guardian of them any more.
After seeing these few cuts I really do have to conclude that they fucked up the story in favour of action sequences. -

@mn5 says you fuckhead
Stop obsessing over what movies I like or don't like.
It's the worst of the bunch. Fact.
Man up and eat some bacon.

Right....
After having miraculously avoided all spoilers and having no idea about what this film was about I just watched it.
Star Wars has been officially fucked. That was the biggest, stinkiest turd I have ever had the displeasure to witness. What a fucking joke.
Take the worst film that I could ever imagine and times that by 100.
The only thing that was slightly cool was Luke getting shit done, but that was preceded by what seemed like hours of the crappiest characters that only the retards at Disney could create. Holy shit, what was the deal with Leia flying through fucking space like some kind of fucking witch creature? Or that ridiculous purple haired freak who took her place? And don't even get me started on Rose or that locksmith weirdo.
I don't know how it's possible to fark up something so fantastic this farking badly.
Oh christ I'm farking traumatised. This is PTSD shit right here.
-
Holy shit. I just scrolled up. Some of you weirdo uncle fuckers actually liked that film and even called it awesome.
There is only the one version right? I didn't watch the Jar Jar cut?
-
I feel bad upvoting these posts but I have to show my support somehow.
So many cringy moments in the film .it is genuinely heartbreaking.
How bout the awesome humour with Poe and Hux at the start? Oh my sides....the rivetting high speed chase.....BB8 taking out a bunch of guards with.....coins ( my 7 and 9 year olds thought that bit was fucken retarded )....Rose heroically saving Finn then busting out that awful romantic comedy dialogue .....bitch, did you not see Rogue One ?
The new characters in TFA were not a great deal to write home about but Rose, Holdo and DJ are basically Jar Jar x 3. Even the much maligned Phantom Menace brought us Qui Gonn, Mace Windu and Darth Maul. What cool dynamic new characters did TLJ bring?
-
Don't get me started.
My eldest (bless him) had seen it when it came out but didn't say a word to me about it. Actually he said it was good but was deliberately lying. Yesterday he made sure he sat with me to see my reaction. When Lea got sucked out of the ship, he simply said "Just wait for what happens next".
But let's back up to number VII. If Luke wanted do go into permanent exile then wtf did he leave part of a map? That made no sense before and it is straight out retarded now.
I also thought this film was supposed to answer questions. Nope. Snope (who btw is the sole reason the First Order is now ruling the galaxy) gets offed without even a hint of his background and as to Remy's parents? Mkaaay. And how fucking lame was the explanation of the events that transpired when Kylo went bad?
That is only a fraction of what was wrong with this abortion of a film. Any fucking Transformers film is better than this.

I only watched this on the weekend; I've seen much worse films, as I have also seen much better ones
