@jegga thanks for the Welcome, but old poster new account... What did you have for breakfast?
What was your old login?
@jegga can I suggest Tinder instead of the fern? At least that way you get photos of who you're hitting on.
If only your zingers were as sharp as Scottish backline play
True. They are surprisingly brilliant.

They. Not you.

We may have reached peak feral with this family . The son killed his step daughter in a p fuelled rage, his half sister (there were a lot of fathers to these siblings) killed her boyfriend after they argued when she finished her shift as a prostitute and mum was a hooker who lived with a guy who murdered and dismembered his wife .

Finished Altered Carbon, I liked it, not a must see, but overall, decent. Was a bit disappointed with the naked clone fight, I somehow decided it was gonna be between Rei & Ortega, both naked...
Anyone watched McMAfia? Had a look at ep.1 and has potential, shades of Start Up
-
@taniwharugby I watched three of episodes of McMafia last night . Good if a little slow. Like the Russian bad guy as a character .

Strike Back: Retribution (S6)
No one can ever diss Banshee on the realms of unbelievability and declare love for this.
I have no problem at all with the general plot stupidity, there wouldn't be a show without it, but fuck being a bystander anywhere near this crew who are happy to shoot up/blow up anything anywhere, leave a trail of dead bodies, destroyed cars and burned out houses as they go and seemingly then just wander into the next country to do the same.
Great
Tits (although if you like anything more than a flea bite there isn't much)
Not a plot spoiler below, just a nice little surprise.
:::Brilliant piece of gratuitous nakedness in one of the latter episodes that gets instantly replayed as they find a hidden camera and play it back again

anyone watched the new series of X-Files?
I've always liked X Files so always have eps to watch, caught one last night, think its about ep 3 or 4 of the new series.
Where Mulder & Scully go to an AI restaurant, and Mulder doesn't get what he ordered, so decides not to tip the AI when paying...afterwhich, all the AI in their lives start acting up.

That's what I thought, too
Overall I thought it was a pretty good series. Bought the book series on Google Play to read, and get some more insight into the future its set in. Hopefully they keep going with a second and third series to suit.

Welcome to the fern. Feel free to ask me about the time I had breakfast with Jerome Kaino, Damien MacKenzie , Liam Squire and Joe Moody.
@virgil said in TV Serieseseses:
Shit, here we go...
Agreed.
Nice knowing all of you.

Binge watched yesterday.
Best thing I've seen in ages.

Fiiiinally got around to finishing Mindhunter. Loved the first 9 episodes, thought the last was a complete waste of the season, and just a blatant grab at S2.
-
Finished Season 2 of Divorce.
Hilarious.

I don’t normally like watching the Equine one but that show is bloody funny in a cringing way.

Just started Flint Town on Netflix and it’s fucking depressing.
Fucking hell - about 100 officers covering all of Flint (100,000 people) in town with one of the highest rates of crime in the states. That rate must make it one of the worst in the USA.
Apparently 30 -40 years ago it had one of the highest median incomes of any city in the world. Now this. Yikes.
-
@gt12 Just started watching it too. Onto the third episode. It's just astonishing how such degradation in a city can happen so quickly and how the cycle of despair and destitution feeds on itself: Can't pay public servants - cut police force, crime increases, businesses close, people leave, less money for public services. In fact, the most astonishing aspect is how it can happen in the richest country on earth.

Will have to check it out. From memory that is where Michael Moore spawned from and what he saw spurned him on in his documentary career.
I think people don't really realise just how fragile societies really are.
