here's something aquatic:
Erick Higuera was awarded the 2013 Stan Waterman Award for Excellence in Underwater Videography for this short film about the tremendous range of biodiversity that exists in the waters of Baja, Mexico, which took him a year to complete.
surely if the range was so tremendous it shouldnt have taken him a year to complete <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Cool clip though, wil have to show to TR Jnr, he loves the Natural World documentaries. -

excellent 80 minute documentary film about the rise of West Indies cricket in the 1970s and beyond.
Clive Loyd was a great leader, but Viv Richards was very cool. Tony Greig's comment about WI grovelling really lit a fire under them against England, and then after the World Series, they swept all before them.

Viv : "Stand up stand up, stand up for your rights....and you walk onto the field, and it's totally embedded in your mind... battlefield music..."
his armband showed the African calling-...Viv: "the green, for the land itself. The yelow, for the taken, stripped away. The red meant the blood that was shed".

Michael Holding-From 1980 to 1995, the WI did not lose a test series....15 years-and no other sporting team in any discipline anywhere in the world dominated their sport for 15 years....and we are very proud of that.
Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed that. I had heard all about his doco but never managed to find it until now! -

Grantland has their new ESPN 30-For-30 short posted, about the most valuable sports card in the world.
The latest film is Holy Grail: The T206 Honus Wagner from Nick and Colin Barnicle. The T206 Honus Wagner is the most famous baseball card in the world. Bought and sold many times over, the copy once owned by Wayne Gretzky has now appreciated to nearly $3 million. But, this gem may have been doctored. From mere speculation, the accusations of alteration have risen all the way to federal indictments. But this is still "just" a baseball card. It is a small square in the tapestry of our national pastime. And, as the art world readily illustrates, it may be that no matter what was done or not done to "The Card," its value really does lie in the eye of the beholder.
Hes still got it doesnt he, though Jennifer Lawrence came across a top bird too. Handled a pretty awkward and creepy situation with some pretty good grace and humor. -
for the managers and engineers among you:
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a man below. He descended a bit more and shouted, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him half an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man below replied, "You are in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet about the ground. You are between 42 and 44 degrees north latitude and between 83 and 85 degrees west longitude."
"You must be an engineer," said the balloonist.
"I am," replied the man, "but how did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost."
The man below responded, "You must be a manager."
"I am," replied the balloonist, "how did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is you are exactly in the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault."
-
