TBF Ed seems to try and embrace the people where he is, and as we know, NZ is always keen to get people to say how awesome we are, so works well for both our media and him.
HE's quite funny too.
At the concert he apologised to all the 'Super Dad's' and the partners that are at the concert in support and would rather not be there.

I'll give her a little bit of dues. She did build a career from being a competitive snowboarder, to dancing, to TV rather than just being a bimbo off the street or the next blond journalism student.
Besides anyone that can tolerate Rigor for as long as she did deserves 10 minutes of fame. -

I’m still getting over being at the birth of both our girls, the horror won’t be leaving me anytime soon

Nah mate it’s a one off, there’s a lot of preamble at the start so you can probably skip ahead to the crowning.
