Marcella S2 was pretty good, although quite an....interesting...ending.

Bosch is frikkin is good as ever, halfway through.

As above, Deep State is really good so far.

Hap & Leonard S3 was neat.

Oh also, Before we Die has been really good.

Compelling thriller from Sweden in which police detective Hanna Svensson steps in to handle a mysterious informant in a criminal organisation when her colleague and lover Sven goes missing

Back watching Sneaky Pete S1 again so can watch S2 with the missus, still really good second time around.

Deep State, a spy series with Mark Strong, has started well.

Yeah, slightly understated but with some moments of brutality to liven it up. Mark Strong showing that he can be a good actor despite appearing in some shitty stuff, just dialling in the performance.

@catogrande interesting, I can't really think of anything off the top of my head that's so bad, I've always thought he's decent. Doesn't stray too far as a character though...

It's probably that last bit really, coupled with his breakthrough performance in "Our friends in the North", that he never really seemed to live up to.

Compare his performance in Robin Hood with that of his in the Sharpe series and you'd think he was playing the same character - so yeah, you have a point!

@catogrande Ahh haven't seen Sharpe and don't remember him in Robin Hood! Is Sharpe worth a watch?

He was the main villain in the Russell Crowe version of Robin Hood. Meh.

Sharpe series. Hmmm. I used to really like the series as I'd enjoyed the books. I like the historical element and the books and therefore the TV series were well researched for period detail etc. However, budgetary constraints made those huge, history turning battles look like a slightly insipid teenage gang fights. If you can get past that you might well enjoy them for the stories they are.

Watch it VERY closely as there is a lot going on and it is easy to miss important clues in the plot.

Have watched just the first episode so far due to my complete and utter addiction to the Strain.

I'm confused but I'm sure it will all be explained. Some nice nudity helps too.

He was excellent in the US version of Low Winter Sun.

Hoping that Deep State scales those heights

Finished Lost in Space, and it was good. Left me wanting more, and the characters started getting fleshed out a bit more.

If I was them I’d tone down the scary bits more to a Doctor Who level so kids could watch this. As it is, there are a couple of too intense for kids parts. But weirdly the rest is pretty lighthearted.

I enjoyed the finale a lot, even though it was fairly predictable.

Time for a Buck Rogers camp as fuck reboot.

@kirwan Four literal cliff-hangers per episode just weren't enough for me.

Not a series, but a one off Doco I watched on Animal Planet.

About a pride of lions that took over a huge territory with size and brutality....I like watching these kinds of things, but man this was tough to watch (they didnt show all they could have and also blurred out a couple of bits) nature is so brutal and ruthless.

Was reminded of a Swedish series tonight that I watched a while ago, don't think I mentioned it here. Anyway well worth a watch is Nobel.

In NOBEL, two stories carefully intertwine as a returning soldier and family man becomes a pawn in a political international game. As the stakes grow higher he is forced to discover just how far one should go in the name of peace.
