I bet they could also come up with the exact figure that Ms Bright has cost them in legal fees with all her bullshit, cos that is ratepayer money she is happily wasting.
I hope they sell it, and I hope she gets arrested for trespassing. You can bet your last buck that the council would have followed due process to the letter for this, knowing that she would continue to kick up a fuss, and that the courts would scrutinise them super carefully. When I was working at the Whangarei Council a few years back in building compliance I received a permit request on a property for it to be altered by ACC for the person living there as they now needed ramps and wheelchairs shower etc.
All well and good, except this property had requested an exemption from rates because it was Māori land where no one lived a few years prior. ACC were not paying to upgrade a property where no one lived...so I did my job with the e permit and passed on to the rate people to deal with the other side...
Many times they would go out to check on things on Māori land and be met by people with. Gun telling them they have no right to enter thier property and should leave.

Too right. As a society we're so fucken prissy and worried we might offend when in actual fact it's the majority that ends up getting fucked off. Case in point. I remember when the SOuth PArk movie came out, some person went and watched it, then complained about it...
reminds me of a bit in Ricky Gervais' Humanity...on Twitter some Christian bloke giving him shit about being and atheist and saying he will be laughing at him while Satan is raping him, and Gervais saying it is funnier that he is a believer and now he is in Hell, Satan would go and rape him over an atheist...nek minut someone is grilling him over finding rape funny and he is pretty much defending the original bloke to this new twitterer.
