Yeah it kind of left me cold too and I've got fairly high tolerance for televised drivel .<br />
<br />
I'm a TV snob and put it firmly in the switch my brain off which allows me to watch it. Plus it cracks me up seeing Manu Bennett in it each week. And I like bow and arrows. Hmmm, is that enough justifications? -

No I'd need Underbelly levels of female nudity to keep me watching that I think. Between that show and the Hunger games archery has had a bit of a resurgence world wide so you're not alone. I was going to join my local club but they have a waiting list . -

Opps, I meant justifications for myself <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/eusa_whistle.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistle:' /> ... lots of nudity would be a bonus - and then wouldn't require the justifications. -
The Following just annoys the fuck out of me every time I catch a glimpse of it.<br />
<br />
The Feds are just sooooo thick. I saw one episode where their geek Fed boy had been snatched and was having to fight one of the Following with various weapons. Kevin Bacon and his attractive sidekick figure out on the flimsiest supposition where he's being held and hightail it over there. They don't wait for back up, they don't disable the baddies' car so they can't get away. They separate and do not stay in contact. Bacon creeps up on the fight and without alerting his colleague starts shooting. The woman cop is wandering around outside and somehow manages not to hear a gun battle going off in the big, guilty buidling but sees the remainder of the Following crew heading for their car and shouts: "Police! Stop!" and then starts shooting at the van as it drives off.<br />
<br />
I ask you, how stupid is this? Even if this is only entertainment, how annoyingly thick is it?<br />
<br />
Another time, Bacon convinces a Following henchman to take him to the place Purefoy's son is being held. Bacon and the crim head off in a car, which has a Fed stashed in the boot. The crim, despite being super suspicious does not check the boot. The Fed keeps in touch with the rest of the team by mobile phone. There is no tracking device, despite the Fed's Following task force being totally badass and elite - nope, a cop in the boot with an iPhone. They don't even have a helicopter. Anyway Bacon and the baddie get to the hideout and things kick off. He secures the kid but is then ambushed by more baddies (my memory is hazy here because I was yelling at the TV so much). This is a remote shack so instead of keeping eyes on the kid at all times, they stash him in a downstairs bedroom and leave him. There are apparently a hundred ways into this shack, because that's the only reason I can think of why the baddies get into the house unseen, get into the bedroom via the door, and get out again. After some running around and shooting the backup team eventually arrives, presumably having driven over from the next state it takes them that long.<br />
<br />
The FIB must be holding their head in their hands and slowly rocking back and forth at the ineptitude of this. For me this is not just entertainment, it is excruciating, fustrating balderdash. -
It always amuses me on most cop type shows, when they find the location of the baddie who is holding someone hostage or has been on the run, they race over, sirens blaring, as for the Stop Police phrase, endless source of amusement....but hey, I enjoy switching my brain off and watching things, Arrow, The Following etc, I choose to ignore the plot holes.
-
Oh, Game of Thrones, they seem to be saving an awful lot up to put in the final 3 episodes....
-
Any Programme trying to tell a story in 40 minutes is going to have massive jumps of logic and plot holes. That's why "mini series" type programs list so well in best ever conversations. The Wire would take a whole series to tell one story without trying to end each week on a conclusion.

I've found this series to be much better than last series TBH. Although Arya is now one of the most annoying characters on the show. Big change from last two seasons. -
Arya gets better IMO....<br />
<br />
I was more meaning they seem to be saving the big moments due in this series for the last episodes<br />
<br />
We have 3 weddings inc The Red Wedding, that inc 2 Kings being killed off, Tywin Lannister being killed, Sansa being whisked away, Tyrians escape, sh!t going on at the Wall (cant recall when this goes down TBH)...seems they are saving it all up, assume they will do it justice given the producers said this book/series was one of the main reasons they got involved in the project to start with.
-

That Ayra has gone from being an interesting character to a whiny little bitch. I used to look forward to her storyline but not any more.<br />
All of Ned Starks offspring are pathetic moaners apart from Bran but he's a cripple.<br />
<br />
I feel exactly the same with Ayra, but I don't mind Rob or John Snow when they actually get stuff to do.<br />
<br />
TR, I assume that's a book spoiler so I'm not going to open it. -
Yes it is a spoiler relating to upcoming events in the next episodes....
Book 3 is being split between Season 3 and 4, so most of the spoilered things will happen in the next season. You can pretty much figure out what is going to happen based on the titles of the remaining episodes. -
3 more episodes to go - say it isnt so!!!!!! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

<br />
Ah ok, cool, I had hoped they would do that given how big book 3 is, so bok 3 is split across 2 series, or just integrating some stuff into S4? -
This from wiki<br />
<br />
The third season is based on the first half of the novel A Storm of Swords. Benioff had previously said that A Storm of Swords would need to be adapted in two seasons on account of its length.[9] Benioff and Weiss also noted that they thought of Game of Thrones as an adaptation of the novel series as a whole, rather than of individual books, which gave them the liberty to move scenes back and forth across books according to the requirements of the screen adaptation.
-

Thank fuck for that! I'll soon be able to torrent the whole season and out it on the tablet to watch at my leisure -

<br />
That sounds very much like they will merge Book 4 & 5 into 2 series as well rather than seperate them by book too. -
If you are bored and want a look at the trailers for the new shows starting in September (3 of the big 4 networks, CBS announces tomorrow)<br />
