It always amuses me on most cop type shows, when they find the location of the baddie who is holding someone hostage or has been on the run, they race over, sirens blaring, as for the Stop Police phrase, endless source of amusement....but hey, I enjoy switching my brain off and watching things, Arrow, The Following etc, I choose to ignore the plot holes.
-
Oh, Game of Thrones, they seem to be saving an awful lot up to put in the final 3 episodes....
-
Any Programme trying to tell a story in 40 minutes is going to have massive jumps of logic and plot holes. That's why "mini series" type programs list so well in best ever conversations. The Wire would take a whole series to tell one story without trying to end each week on a conclusion.

I've found this series to be much better than last series TBH. Although Arya is now one of the most annoying characters on the show. Big change from last two seasons. -
Arya gets better IMO....

I was more meaning they seem to be saving the big moments due in this series for the last episodes
We have 3 weddings inc The Red Wedding, that inc 2 Kings being killed off, Tywin Lannister being killed, Sansa being whisked away, Tyrians escape, sh!t going on at the Wall (cant recall when this goes down TBH)...seems they are saving it all up, assume they will do it justice given the producers said this book/series was one of the main reasons they got involved in the project to start with.
-

That Ayra has gone from being an interesting character to a whiny little bitch. I used to look forward to her storyline but not any more.
All of Ned Starks offspring are pathetic moaners apart from Bran but he's a cripple.
I feel exactly the same with Ayra, but I don't mind Rob or John Snow when they actually get stuff to do.

TR, I assume that's a book spoiler so I'm not going to open it. -
Yes it is a spoiler relating to upcoming events in the next episodes....
Book 3 is being split between Season 3 and 4, so most of the spoilered things will happen in the next season. You can pretty much figure out what is going to happen based on the titles of the remaining episodes. -
3 more episodes to go - say it isnt so!!!!!! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
Ah ok, cool, I had hoped they would do that given how big book 3 is, so bok 3 is split across 2 series, or just integrating some stuff into S4? -
This from wiki
The third season is based on the first half of the novel A Storm of Swords. Benioff had previously said that A Storm of Swords would need to be adapted in two seasons on account of its length.[9] Benioff and Weiss also noted that they thought of Game of Thrones as an adaptation of the novel series as a whole, rather than of individual books, which gave them the liberty to move scenes back and forth across books according to the requirements of the screen adaptation.
-

Thank fuck for that! I'll soon be able to torrent the whole season and out it on the tablet to watch at my leisure -

That sounds very much like they will merge Book 4 & 5 into 2 series as well rather than seperate them by book too. -
If you are bored and want a look at the trailers for the new shows starting in September (3 of the big 4 networks, CBS announces tomorrow)

What only 3 more episodes? How long are we gonna have to wait for series 4? Dont make me read a book!

GOT is so addictive eh. Was telling my sister in law about it last week and on the weekend she bought series 1 and 2 and spent the whole weekend at home watching it....hooked big time! -

Really? That the line you suspend disbelief at? Not solving complex crimes in an amazing manner( usually in a couple of days) week after week, or the world ending with zombies or alien invasion?? But good looking people is just to 'silly'?
Call me fickle, and are you trying to tell me that the GoT's isn't real?!? You've ruined my day -
Caught up with the last few episodes in S2 of Person of Interest recently. This has turned out to be quite a good show (if you suspend some belief of course).

The writers were clever enough to drag it away from being formulatic and grow the depth of the backstory. The underlying threads provide almost all of the action now, with new protections advancing aspects of these. The other thing they do well is keep the storyline grounded with a few characters that bring real humanity to their roles. I am genuinely interested to follow how Carter and Fusco get on, plus the ever interesting addition of depth to Finch.
The finale has taken the show to a new place now, with the machine being out of Finch's hands completely. It appears that now the machine is free and it's AI has taken over it will be doing the manipulating, using the Govt, Root and Finch/ Reese for different purposes. It will be interesting to see how the factions get played off against each other. I can't believe they let Root live though (apart from the storyline of course). Shaw has been confirmed as a regular for S3 so I expect she will be working with Finch/ Reese

The Carter/ Fusco/ HR/ Elias arc is heading into very interesting territory as well. Now that Carter has helped Elias and taken out the Russian Elias may help her take down HR. Pity Fusco wasn't used at the end, he's a good character.
-
Anyone got different views on Harry now?

I quite like it. I know it's a bit cliched but it's nice to see that storyline in a kiwi setting rather than some depressing grey Scottish/ English/ US ghetto. I can relate to the characters better.

I think they are overplaying the misery part of Oscar's character though and wish they'd cut down on the amount of scenes where he gazes into space drimking. We get it that he's depressed and that his wife killed herself causing family upheaval that he's trying to deal with while working in a depressing job. They don't need to keep ramming that point home.
