Watching one of these Star Wars movies now.. not sure where to begin
The lead star is this whiny kid, the cgi is laughable. There was this escape pod which the bad guys could have blasted but they have to save their blasters?!? Wtf.. big ploy hole there.
Then they have this fucken wasted period at some stupid cantina, complete was of time. What was the point of that?The makers of this film have ruined my childhood er i mean adulthood.
Virgil, that's lamer than the character of Rose.
I remember in the first 6 films when Jedi could fly through space like Mary Poppins. Silly me that only occurred in the latest film but they're all exactly the same really. The bar scene and casino scene are exactly the same as well. One is a pointless plot deviation the other actually contributed to the plot and introduced us to a legendary main character. No difference whatsoever.
And how about the awesome characters who were introduced like Rose, Holdo, Locksmith, and the force sensitive kid. ANH only gave us farking Darth Vader, Luke, Han, Leah, Obi, Chewy, Tarkin etc. Yes, it's a really valid comparison to make...

Was it? Some of the best films ever made were from the 70s.
And if any of them were subject to the insane level of scrutiny we have these days, they would be ripped apart.
Insane level of scrutiny? I assume you'll use that argument to defend the Phantom Menace.

There was a Star Wars mini exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney today ... they have a life sized new episodes X Wing just sitting out the front.
The full exhibition is coming in November as this one was more targeted at kids getting photos with characters/displays and being filmed on green screen.
There was an augmented reality section where you could have a lightsaber fight, the queue was way too long, but the girl who was promoting the devices (headset and light saber) was so hot I almost bought one, but it's single function at the moment. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/lenovo/lenovo-star-wars-jedi-challenges-ar-headset/502683/

I wasn't prepared to wait the 2 + hours in the queue so didn't have a turn. I think it would be worth it if Disney start adding Marvel 'games' to it in the future as well.

I'm seriously tempted. Price isn't that bad. I'd happily pay that for lightsaber duels on tap. Just a bit skeptical about the tech.

My neighbour has VR and I get bored with that after a while so I think a single function game would get a bit boring after a while.

Still willing to give this other bloke a chance though. Ewan McGregor looks nothing like Alec Guiness and he still did a great job.

True, but Alec was an old fart when he played Obi. The new Solo is only 7 years younger than Harrison Ford was in episode 1. We've already seen a young Solo and he doesn't look or sound like this new bloke.
