Yup should have been released in December like the rest.
its a shame, those staying away for the reasons mentioned above are depriving themselves of a bloody good movie.
Be a shame if this meant no further sequels were green lit.@Kirwan im pretty sure 80% of those negative comments online towards TLJ are just trolls taking delight in ruining everyone elses SW experiences. Yep it had its problems but nowhere near as bad as most are making out.
Its just the world we live in now, everyone with a keyboard can join in with which ever mob is making the most impact. -

Im did say not all were trolls, you follow enough SW pages on FB and see the same people posting the same shit every time it appears on your feed you get over it pretty quickly. Plus most of the comments are still positive (for TLJ and especially Solo)

You said 80% which is garbage. Where were these mysogenist trolls for TFA or RO or Wonder Woman? What a coincide they all showed up to criticise a genuinely shitty film. Just as I have to accept that some people actually liked that film, you have to accept that heaps didn't. Labelling them trolls trying to spoil your fun is just pathetic. What this is is decades of goodwill turning to anger, something I obviously clearly understand.

I'm genuinely on the fence in terms of supporting @Virgil and @Rancid-Schnitzel
It does irk me that people defending TLJ say that anyone attacking it has issues with powerful females, that's a load of shit, Solo which I really enjoy has two more strong females to add to the list. ( three if you count Landos co pilot )
I'm with RS in his views on TLJ but his stubborn refusal to see Solo doesn't sit too well with me. Star Wars as a franchise would have to release ten poor movies in a row for me to even consider boycotting one.

I don't think many people are saying that are they?
I'm like you regarding going to see them - I went to all the prequels at the movies despite coming out of The Phantom Menace with a WTF look on my face. So far I've only really had 3 disappointments out of 10, and when I first saw Attack of the Clones I actually quite liked the big fight at the end so it was almost 8 out 10 (until my pre TFA re-watch smashed that memory to bits).

It's not a decision taken lightly but it's the only way to effect change. The current mob are killing SW (at least the trilogies). I feel genuinely sorry for Ron Howard and the actors and it would be a shame if what could be a good little trilogy is canned. But blame ultimately has to be directed at people like Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson. Their contempt for the fans is disgusting and they deserve nothing but contempt back. Apparently Rian Johnson has been hired to write a whole new triology. That can't happen.
