World War Z - I liked it, didnt think it was worth the 3D version, but still a decent flick, although the actual zombies at times were a bit comical, which detracted from their 'scarieness' (in that rule #1 would be irrelevant with these guys)
The book is one of my favourites but I'd never call that one of my favourite books. The black zombie in the cage and the dude with with chattering teeth had the cinema laughing. It should have been "The drive across america" from the perspective of Todd Waino, that would have been fucking awesome.

    With Iain Ziering and Tara Reid as the leads, you know it's going to be class.

    Gold Class Lounge at the movies on Saturday. Saw "Elysium" with MATT. DAMON. And Sharlto Copley as a particularly badass mercenary psychopath.

Was watchable, but fairly standard sci-fi dystopia gear. Worth seeing at the movies though

-------------------------------------------
I hate autocorrect ...

Finally got around to watching "Zero Dark Thirty" last night. I thought it was fucking awesome. Long, but awesome. I started the movie feeling uncomfortable with "us" being the good guys, but using torture. By the end i was "stealth helicopters? fuck yea!".

Yes, it's a dramatic interpretation of "actual" events but i thought it was pretty cool.

Watched The Iceman and Olympus has Fallen;

The Iceman, based on the true story of a hitman (which I only realised yesterday has been on Discovery or Nat Geo recently too) Kuklinski? Easy watch, not sure how close it was to the actual events, but worth a look

Olympus has Fallen; typical action film where 1 man can take on an army and win, at around 2 hours, a bit long for this genre IMO, but still, shooting, fighting, explosions, secret weapons....

Olympus has Fallen really was a throw-back action flick. i was entertained.

I watched "Drive" last night, and i am still not actually sure what it is supposed to be about. Strange movie. The gratuitous gore was completely unexpected.

Agree. I only got around to this the other day as it looked like crap in the trailers. Was pleasantly surprised that all of the plot holes were easily non annoying except for one (see spoiler). Good gung-ho old fashioned Die Hard (the original) type action flick.
Everything hinged around the terrorists needing three super secret access codes but the codes were so friggin easy they could have been cracked by a spotty 13 year old hacker on a Sinclair ZX.
Question for this one: does Tatum get his shirt off? This determines whether the wife wants to see it and whether I get laid afterwards.

    I see that Ben Afflick has been named to play Batman. That has to be some kind of sick prank surely.
