@mikethesnow Yes, especially the last two. How deep has Canada sunk? And, have Scotland travelled with their best possible squad, because that's a terrible result.

Not really surprised by the win from Fiji. Georgia only narrowly beat Tonga last week (16 - 15).

              Deep

Definitely not travelled with their best squad, but like England's loss to the Baa Baas, it shouldn't happen regardless of personnel.

Was very surprised that Fiji won the scrum battle

And whilst a narrow margin, Italy must have learned something from last week

                  Looked a good match.

Some great passing for the tries.

                  Stadium looked great too.

I've seen a lot of people talking up that USA result, because it's the first time the USA have beaten a tier 1 nation.
I'm wondering, how good are they really? Should we be concerned for the USA v Maoir ABs game in November (also considering that the new MABs coach selected a shit team last year with too few real outside backs and some of the better players being unavailable this year - Ngatai, D Pryor, J Hoeata, Franklin, West, Bateman, TTT and most likely Akira Ioane).

I hope we should be 'concerned'. The USA game will be their only real hard match of the tour.

Good work by the USA. I think the Americas Rugby Championship is huge for them. That's 5 extra tests per year outside the 2 international windows. They are playing Tier 1 quantities of test matches per year now (11 per year).

Although this theory doesn't hold true for Canada ......

Americas is a real rising continent in the game at the moment.

Good work IRB in funding Americas Rugby Championship. I must admit when I first learnt that when Canada and USA were being withdrawn by from the Asia -Pacific IRB funded competitions that they were previously in that they would suffer. E.g. playing Brazil, Uruguay, Chile rather than Japan, Samoa etc. But they haven't.

@rapido Cheers, I vaguely remember it being mentioned in the media now. It seems, it's not 100% certain yet, although I never know what to make of statements from NZR like these.

Among those options included matches against Brazil and Chile, but these were yet to be finalised. South America Rugby president Sebastian Pineyrua seemed to confirm the fixtures, however New Zealand Rugby insists this confirmation is premature.

For anyone still wondering which test matches can be watched where and at which times, I've included the info that I could find again in the first post of this thread (also below the table for viewers outside NZ).

@rocky-rockbottom said in 2018 June Internationals:

                                      HT

                                      Japan 9
                                      Georgia 0

Georgians will be ELATED at the number of wet weather scrums and inevitable scrum resets. ELATED. The fact they've neglected to register any points on the scoreboard, whatever, a trifling concern. Oven mitts for hands + pissing rain + 15 forwards + no backs = SCRUMTIME.

The whole Georgian team ran 57 metres in the first half. In 40 minutes. That's 1.3453 metres a minute. "It is saving energy for next scrum."

The backs* seem to be under instruction to drop it so the forwards can have another scrum. "DROP IT."

*they don't have any backs. Just some forwards too small to play in the forwards

And yet many on here are spouting that they're the answer to the turgidity of the 6N
